CARTER POV  Seven Months Later I found myself standing in front of the closed office door. I had been standing there for a while. My instincts told me what this meeting would entail. I had been fighting it for as long as I could, but I sensed the presence of the pack Elders inside the Alpha's office alongside Kane. For months, I had relentlessly searched for Carissa. I refused to hand over my title until she was found, but my hand would be forced. CARTER POV The week flew by. The pack grew more divided but significantly colder toward Lindy and me. We both knew that we needed to disband immediately after this hand-off ceremony.
