Asher's POV I got out of my bed with a thick stretch hoping the day would be different from every other day. The disappointment from the day before came right back the moment I got under the shower. "Selene I want you back," I muttered and gritted my teeth in anger. That fool of an Alpha was actively seeking war but I didn't want to strike. If I did, Selene would never notice my sincerity. I got dressed for the day and thought I could give this day another chance, so I walked right out of my door only to bump into Beta Ryan. "Greetings Alpha Asher!" He bowed and I looked around to see if there was anyone around. Clearly, I wasn't interested in the greetings and honor. I had bigger problems than that. "I have some news for you Alpha!" He said again.I looked at him, and then at the white envelope he was passing to me. At the top of it read "Selene Nightfall"Stunned, I looked around again and then grabbed it. "How did you receive this? Are you sure this wasn't from the wrong hands?"

Selene's POV He left not long after and was looking satisfied which gave me all the assurance I felt I needed at that moment. "Thank you, Damian,, for not losing your cool and ruining our plans," I muttered and Damian smiled"That's not something you should worry about. I'm here for you." He replied and kissed my forehead.
