Lahat ng Kabanata ng Bound by Twisted Fate: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

The sun was dancing on the horizon as I walked out, a duffel bag slung over my shoulder.I could hear birds chirping and there was a moistness to the atmosphere as everything slowly came alive.I heard shuffling behind me and saw Mary make her way into the kitchen humming.“Oh, Thane, good morning.” She spoke stopping short when she noticed me.“Morning.” I breathed out turning to follow her in as she started on the coffee. Which I would definitely need if I was going to get through today.A hit of whiskey wouldn’t be so bad either.“I always adore the mornings of the mating ceremony, don’t you?” She spoke as she turned on the coffee machine still humming as she walked over to the refrigerator to get out some eggs.I settled down on one of the stools. “Not particularly.” I grumbled.I had never understood this mating business and I wasn’t going to start now that I had one.Feelings were messy, they clouded your judgement and ruined everything. In my opinion, you needed to have just th

“Wow.” I spoke as my feet touched the ground.I looked up gazing at the small waterfall that tumbled straight into a body of crystal clear water. There were smooth rocks in every corner all being hit on but the constant moving water.Walls of mountains were risen with mossy curtains draped on them and wild flowers blowing in the wind.I looked around seeing hundreds of people of all ages gathering around. Some off in groups, some pairs. Others in their human form and other in their wolf forms all over the place. There must have been hundreds of them.“So these are the sacred springs?” I spoke in awe and wonder.“You don’t have one of these in your territory?” Landon asked as he came up behind me.I shook my head, turning to face him.The history of the packs could be a little foggy now and then but the truth still stood clear as day. “We kind of got cut off when we disbanded from the rest of the packs.” I spoke.Read: we got cut off from a lot of traditions from my great grandfather

“There you are!” Darius spoke as he moved through the crowd heading towards me. I watched as different people bowed and scurried out of my way as I passed them by. I wasn’t in the mood to fake pleasantries or socialise. Not that I ever was. I knew coming here wouldn’t be a good idea. The mating bond had been nothing but a curse to me, the last thing I wanted to possibly do was celebrate it. But alas, here I was. “Hey.” I greeted Darius unenthused as he finally caught up to me, he had a smile on his face seeming more upbeat than he should have been considering his ex was here waiting for her mate to arrive. But I guess the most tragic part of Darius and Lyra’s situation was that Darius would never really stop loving Lyra. No matter how hopeless the situation seemed. “So that’s her, huh?” He asked falling into step with me. I had a feeling the look on my face was less than welcoming with the way people were more or less now just jumping out of my way as I passed by. “Yeah.” I re

“Well that was… uhm, something.” Vanessa spoke laughing as she tried to straighten out the skirt of her dress and made an attempt to straighten her hair.I chuckled watching her breathing heavily against the tree she was leaning against.“Well, making love to you against a tree wasn’t my first choice but -“ I leaned forward and kissed her. “- I missed you.”My lips trailed down to her neck and she gripped my shoulders, her chest heaving up and down.“We’re missing my father’s opening remarks, you know.” She spoke but made no attempt to move. “He’s gonna be really mad.”“I don’t care.” I spoke going lower to her chest.“I bet your little mate will.” She spoke bitterly.I pulled away to get reluctance. She had a defiant look on her face like she was telling me she didn’t regret a thing she had said.I sighed. “You know she means nothing to me.“Vanessa scoffed. “Yet the laws of nature decided to pair you.”“Screw the laws of nature.” I spoke harshly. “I want you.”I placed my hand on he

“Thane, relax, we were just having a chat.” Bade spoke still seeming jovial. “Yeah, Thane, what’s got you all worked up?” I asked not masking the insinuation behind my words. He glared at me. “We’re leaving.” He spoke. Before I could do or say anything else, he grabbed my arm roughly pulling me forward. “Hey! No! Let me go.” I groaned and I could tell we were now making a scene. But I could care less. He didn’t get to have a quickie in the woods and think he could just come over and touch me. “Thane, you’re being dramatic.” Bade hissed as he stepped forward trying to pull Thane’s arm away. Thane turned sharply and shoved him hard. He fell onto the ground and we heard gasps all around. All activity seemed to have stopped as people now focused on us. Bade’s eyes darkened and I heard him growl as he jumped to his feet swiftly and ready for a fight. Thane wasn’t showing any signs of backing down either. Alpha Demetri stepped aside effectively ridding himself of any of this. Co
