I knew something was wrong the second I drove up to my house and found Landon pacing outside waiting for me. I had hardly stopped my truck before he rushed up to me. “Thane.” He breathed out frantically. I quickly got out examining him searching for what the problem could be. “What’s going on?” I asked him hurriedly as I put my hands on his shoulders. “Landon, are you okay? Did something happen?” Landon was breathing heavily and I couldn’t ignore the panic in his eyes. He opened his mouth but no words escaped which only made me more concerned. I shook him. “Land-“ “Thane.” Lyra came rushing down the steps. “Come quick.” She spoke hurriedly. I furrowed my brows at Landon deducing that whatever was wrong didn’t so much as have something to do with him. I turned and followed Lyra, she led the way into the house. “What’s going on?” I asked. “Next time you freaking leave. Don’t go to a place without reception for hours!” She snapped angrily. “Lyra.” I growled.
