Semua Bab MARRIED TO MY SISTER'S FIANCE : Bab 51 - Bab 59

Aadil was badly injured, though thankfully not in critical condition. There were no internal injuries. They had tortured him brutally, first whipping him, then burning his palms, tearing out some of his nails. They had beaten his legs mercilessly, yet by some miracle, he hadn’t suffered any fractures. They brought him to the same hospital where Aazan and Inayat were being treated. Compared to Aadil, Aazan had been lucky, only a bullet wound to the arm. After surgery, he was out of danger and steadily improving. Inayat’s condition was far worse, she had taken three bullets. She was still unconscious. The wounds were not only physical; she was emotionally drained, her willpower shaken. Perhaps that was why her recovery was taking longer than expected. The moment they learned he had been admitted, Aadil’s family rushed to the hospital. For three days, they had searched desperately after his abduction. Now his father, mother, brother, and cousin sister stood beside his bed, their rel

“You killed her?!” both Inayat and Aajiya exclaimed in shock.Aadil didn’t flinch.“Yes,” he replied, his tone steady. “I did.”“And that too so mercilessly?” Inayat’s voice trembled, not with fear, but with disbelief. “You’re talking about murder as if it was justified!”“She tried to kill my sister!” Aadil shot back, his calm finally cracking. “She destroyed my family. What was I supposed to do? Garland her with flowers?”“That doesn’t give you the right to take someone’s life!” Inayat snapped. “You don’t get to play God just because you’re angry!”Aajiya clutched her head faintly. “Stop… please stop…” she whispered. “I don’t remember any of this… but hearing it feels suffocating.”Aadil immediately softened at her reaction. “Baji… you don’t have to stress. I did what I had to do. For you.”“For me?” she repeated, tears forming again. “Or for your revenge?”The question hit harder than any slap.Inayat’s eyes locked onto Aadil’s.“Revenge never ends anything,” she said coldly. “It o

“Inayat, I know Aadil made a mistake. Can’t you forgive him?” Mansha Begum’s voice carried hope and helplessness.Aadil’s parents had arrived in Delhi early that morning. They hadn’t even rested properly. The moment Aajiya informed her mother about the divorce, they couldn’t sit still. They had to see their daughter.Because that’s what Inayat had become to them.A daughter.“Mummy, please don’t force me,” Inayat said softly, but firmly. “I have made my decision. I’m not changing it.”Mansha Begum moved closer and held her hands. “We never treated you differently. We always saw you as our own child. For our sake… can’t you give him one more chance?”Those words stabbed Inayat’s heart. For your sake.It would have been easier if they had blamed her. If they had accused her.But they were pleading. And that made it harder.“Please don’t do this to me, mummy,” Inayat’s voice trembled. “You all loved me so much. I will always be grateful for that. But I can’t continue this marriage. If yo

Inayat couldn’t sleep the entire night. She kept tossing and turning, her mind replaying everything; Aazan’s confession, her own words, the meeting she had planned for tomorrow.Every time she closed her eyes, something felt unsettled inside. By the time the sky began to lighten, she gave up.With an annoyed sigh, she threw the blanket aside and got out of bed.“Great,” she muttered. “No sleep at all.”Dragging her feet, she walked into the washroom and splashed some water on her face. But the moment she looked up at the mirror, she froze.“What the…”Dark circles were visible under her eyes. She leaned closer, inspecting her face.“I look like a panda,” she groaned, rubbing her eyes. “Perfect. Just perfect.”As if the emotional mess wasn’t enough, now she had to look like she hadn’t slept in days. She straightened up, exhaling slowly.“Pull yourself together, Inayat,” she murmured to her reflection. “It’s just a meeting.”After freshening up, Inayat changed into her jogging clothes
