Atlas’s POV We broke the hug. I watched her face change, her eyes widening in shock, the dim silver moonlight catching on the tears streaming down her cheeks. The rain hammered against the forest canopy above us, soaking my hair flat against my forehead. Thunder rolled, deep and rattling, shaking the ancient trees around us. I knew it sounded insane.
