“I found my mate. There's no need to join me with someone I have no bond with.” Kai spoke again, his voice was final. It was as though his words were enchantments, the elders who had been holding a frown suddenly released their faces. “How sure are you about this finding of yours?” One of the guards asked, his brow raised with inquisition. “I am a hundred percent sure. We've confirmed it.” He looked at the faces of the elders one by one, waiting for the next person to speak against him. But none of them said a word, they sat like a bucket of ice cold water had been poured on them. However, someone who'd been listening to the conversation didn't like the way it went so she came out of her hiding. “You have been fighting tooth and nail to ensure you don't get married to Kira. How do you expect us to believe you now that you're suddenly claiming another girl as your mate?” The elders turned to the direction of her voice. Some of them were shocked that she was there all the while.

Kai had no option than to entertain his friends. They showed up at the packa and even though they teased him about having an Omega for a mate and teased him about how they knew he loved her but just kept on living in denial, it made him feel a little better having them around. Lyra snuck into Aria's room, walking on her toes so she doesn't make any noise. It was late and everywhere was as still as night. The pack was asleep but Lyra couldn't sleep. Not when she monitored Kai and his friends. Watching closely for when they would leave for the hunt“Aria.. Aria…Wake up.” Lyra gently shook Aria who had dozed off in her room. She called her name again and Aria opened her eyes. Shocked at first that someone was staring back at her but she relaxed when she saw who it was. “How did you get in here?” She asked when her sleepy eyes cleared and her brain registered that someone else was in her room. Lyra raised her fingers high enough for Aria to see her long, sharp claws. Aria rubbed a hand across her face. “What's going on?” She asked, the urge to sleep still tugged at her. “We need to leave now if we want to join the hunt.” Lyra continued to whisper. “The boys are leaving now!” She emphasized the ‘now’Aria's eyes shot wide open and she sat up immediately.
