~QUINN~  After about ten minutes of fruitless walking and no scent of Gwen, I gave up hope. The man who had saved me earlier from a certain death at the hands, or rather paws of those wolves certainly did not seem to be of much help. He had been silent throughout our walk and as much as I appreciated it, like I do to a little silence every now and then, a little info on the whereabouts of my mate would have been helpful. The disturbing images of her in pain that had been probing my head for long did not help matters. I was restless and so was my wolf. Ignoring his constant barking and whining in my head was another reason why I needed to get this done and over with. Just as I was longing for Gwen, my wolf was yearning for hers. Blinking myself to reality, I noticed a few people turned t

~QUINN~ Whiteness filled my vision when I opened my eyes. At that moment, I knew I was not in heaven or any other place that the supernatural were supposed to go when they passed away. I blinked rapidly and the whiteness faded into a ceiling. "That's much better," I muttered. "He's awake!" I heard a feminine voice say. I tilted my head to my left and saw a young woman staring wide eyed at me as if surprised that I survived. I scowled deeply. Rude. I recognized her as the same woman from earlier that sat beside Gwen on her bed before I healed her. Beside the woman was the old man from earlier. He seemed rather the calmer of the two. A small smile appeared on his face "Young man," he said. "Welcome back." "Uh...Thanks?" I said rather hesitantly

~QUINN~ I managed to dodge the punch Gwen threw across my way. We were training in the woods. After my supposed fate decider in the city hall, I had managed to settle into life at the pack. The Alpha made good on his word and I was kept on surveillance much to my annoyance. The good thing is that I was now staying with Gwen in her own home and we had all the time to ourselves. Most of which was spent in a tussle under the sheets. Of course, we had experimented in several other areas of the house. Life was starting to feel great. Waking up to see her face everyday was the greatest gift the moon goddess had bestowed on me. I dodged another punch and Gwen nearly lost her balance. I swiftly caught her and pulled her to me with her back against my chest. Her heavy breathing could be heard and it sent my blood pumping. It c

~GWEN~   I had never been more angry with something as little at the weather as I had been on the present day. The heat wave in the city was ridiculous. It was hot enough to fry an egg. What made it even more annoying was the fact that the previous night had been cold and windy. Anyone would have expected a torrid rainfall or something the next morning. But, no. Quinn had I had woke up in a bed drenched with sweat. A swift shower followed, but that did squat. We were both sweaty as soon as we dried off and dressed up. A trip to the grocery followed for me. And to my little surprise, even the inside of the grocery felt hot. I had to buy everything I needed and quickly got the hell out of there.  Reaching the door, I reached for the handle when I heard grunts from within. I scowled a bit i

~GWEN~ Christine's mouth fell open in disbelief as I took away one of her pieces from the board. "This same move again! You know this is becoming a silly cliche." Holding my laughter was easier said than done. "You're the one making it so."  Our game of chess unsurprisingly had me being the dominant player. I was leading five to one. That one game I lost, I had to fault it to myself being complacent.   I cherished moments with Quinn, but as Christine was my childhood best friend, hanging with her every once and then was also good for the mind.  It was also good for the body. If she hadn't shown up with her brother and my sister , goddess knows how much more pounding I would have taken. Today had been my day o
