Queen mother's POV."Truly it's a day to be glad" I mumbled with a smile, staring at my pack members as everyone feast and dine, celebrating our impending victory.Right at the center of the feast ground were my drummers dressed in pants made of goat skin. Some tiny cowries tightened around their fists shining beautifully as they hit their strong hands on the drums creating an irresistible sound.Well the happy atmosphere wasn't only sponsored by the drummers. Around them were also shofar and flute artists doing wonders with their mouths. The pack dancers dressed in skimpy clothes and beads all over their bodies. To the rhythm of the beats, they flipped their hair back and front, winning seductively to the enjoyment of the audience."You wanna tell me you're looking at that" a woman shouted and I turned to see her hitting her husband who bent slightly, staring at the back of one of the dancers. These dancers only perform on special occasions and today is one of those days. A day mean

Hazel's POV.I flopped my eyes open and met Alpha Matteo standing beside me. Hands crossed akim onto his bare, well-built chest, hair well arranged, and eyes staring directly at me.I stretched myself lazily on the bed. "Good morning, Alpha."He groaned and squatted, leaning just a few centimeters above me. "Good morning, little one. I can see you enjoyed your night," he said, running a thumb across my face, patting some strands of hair on it."Yes, I did. Courtesy of you and the goddess," I smiled, shying away under his stares. He didn't say any other words afterward. Just stood still, pinning me with a gaze that pooled with intensity.I have never woken up to his presence inside the room. Either he's at the meeting with the councils or heeding to the early morning training with the pack members.I grumped in my throat, wondering why today was different."You know I'm all standing here, waiting for you, right?" he threw, stepping a little away from the small gap he was covering betwe

Hazel's POV.I sat on the folding crystal seat, leaning back as the maids washed my legs with a sweet-scented mix that kissed and soothed my skin.Funny enough, the seat turned out to be my favorite because of its fine and easy features ever since I started using it. According to the maids, it’s a rare ancient treasure, passed down from great queens in the past.No wonder it has such rich qualities. Imagine once unfolded, the seat shimmered like it was carved from ice, shinning in soft colors of blue and purple. It really, really feels good to be accepted in a great, rich pack, you know? I smiled, leaning back into the seat a little more. After washing my feet and cleansing my nails, the maids began setting up a fire in a round pan, making sure the ash didn’t litter anywhere.Soon, they brought a small iron pot and placed it gently on the small fire. I watched in amazement as they slipped out wrapped items from an old leather bag, preparing to perform what I didn’t understand.I mean

Hazel's POV.After being sober for a few minutes, I muttered some courage, stood up from the mat and slipped myself into a mini but free gown which isn't above my knees.I picked up the sweetest smelling oil from the shelf... And gently, I rubbed it all over my body, letting the sweet scent wrap around me.Then I took my wooden golden comb and brushed my long hair backwards, letting it fall freely towards my back, down to my waist. If there's anything I admire so much on me, that's my soft smooth hair. Its fullness can fill a big hand and its shiny silk color can make heads turn.In as much as yellow stone packs rarely complimented it, I have secretly caught them whispered among themselves most times, lingering their eyes on it as soon as I passed. After arranging my hair the way I like it, I moved towards the shoe bag, and slowly brought out a black footwear. I slipped my legs in them one after the other and made sure they matched perfectly. With one more glance at myself, I walked

Alpha Matteo's POV"Killed everyone?" I asked as we made our way towards the office and Henry nodded letting out a long breath."Yeah we did, except for their commander. I'm sure wouldn't stay long because of the poison on the sword" he replied. The busy pack rumbled with everyone attaining their daily activities and at the sight of us, they all bowed to their feet. Some even prostrated as we made our way toward the office.Stepping on the black marble floor, the fullness of my office graced our view. The stone walls were decorated with claws and herbs. At the centre of the room was a dark gem table shining like a mirror.Resting on top were crystal ink bottles standing beside a sharp silver pen and a thick leather book sealed with red wax.Behind the table was my tall chair carved out from bones. Small wolf skulls rested on the armrests, symbolizing authority.I moved towards the corner where clean shelves made from rare stones and gold stood firmly. I scanned through them until my e
