Lyra's POV The door had been closed for hours, and with Xavier, Cassian and Emily on the other side, it wasn't exactly a good sign. I tried to keep still, but I couldn't. My fingers were quivering, and my chest seemed to be thumping harder than ever. Beads of sweat had formed at the top of my head again, I'd lost count of how many times I'd wiped at them with my sleeves, but they just kept on coming back. It didn't help that my stomach was constantly churning too, and my breathing exercises weren't doing anything to help. I hated it, hated every bit of it.
