Arielle. The sound of knocking dragged me from my dreams before the sun had even fully risen and a heavy pounding that made me bury my head deeper into the pillow at first praying it would stop. My eyes were gritty with sleep and my body still aching faintly from the bruises of the week and I wanted nothing more than to roll back into the comfort of the blanket and drift away.
