Lahat ng Kabanata ng I DIVORCED HIM! NOW, HE REGRETS: Kabanata 201 - Kabanata 206

CHAPTER 202I kept walking even though my legs felt weak like they were made of something softer than bone something that could fold at any second The hallway looked longer than I remembered maybe because my mind was somewhere else or maybe because I knew once I reached the end everything would changeAgainI pressed my palm to my chest trying to quiet the heavy beat that refused to settle It felt like my heart had been running a race I never signed up forI hated that he still had this effect on meI hated that even after everything we had gone through the good the bad the ugly the divorce the regret the apologies the arguments the nights I forced myself to sleep aloneEven after all of that I still felt too muchMy fingers trembled and I curled them into a fist I wasn’t going to let him see that I wasn’t going to let anyone see thatI reached the door and stoppedThere was a voice inside my head telling me to turn around to walk the other direction and pretend that I had never seen

CHAPTER 204I pressed the call button over and over even though my fingers shook too much to hit it properly My voice would not come out right it kept breaking like it didn’t know how to form a single word“Nurse someone help please”The machines kept making sharp sounds that stabbed right through my chest but I couldn’t look away from my mother Her eyes had rolled back her breathing had gone thin and her hand slipped from mine like she was falling out of the world one second at a timeA team rushed in and one of them guided me back gently telling me to move but I could barely feel my legs Someone held my shoulders someone else tried to get me to step outside but I kept staring at her body on the bedShe looked like she was fadingThe last thing she said kept echoing in my head I know who did this and it refused to leave me alone It was loud louder than the machines louder than the nurses louder than my heartWhen they finally pushed me out of the room the door closed and I was left i

CHAPTER 206 — THIS TIME WE CHOOSE USI never thought my hands would shake on a day like thisNot from fearNot from doubtJust from the weight of everything that has brought me right hereMy fingers twist the edge of my dress while I stand in front of the bedroom mirror the same bedroom that once felt too big and too empty the one that used to echo loneliness back at me whenever I tried to breatheNow it feels warmNow it feels fullNow it feels like a place where a chapter is finally closing the right wayWhen I look at myself in the mirror I don’t see the woman who cried through a loveless marriage or the woman who signed divorce papers with her heart shaking or the woman who walked away because staying meant losing herselfI see the woman who survived every version of pain she never asked forThe woman who grew new strength out of her own broken piecesThe woman who finally learned she deserves to be loved the way she lovesI hear a soft knock on the door behind me“Are you ready”
