Lukan The next day, the house was still buzzing with activity, and everyone was on cleaning duty. The party was a success, and so was the ladies' plan. Silvermoon took the bait. Now we are gathering every piece of evidence we can to take it to the Council and see how they would handle the situation. If they don't do anything, we will have no choice but to take matters into our own hands. Something that I'm looking forward to doing since the moment that I found out how they have been treating my mate when she was living with them. I push the door open to the private room at the clinic where Dane Winter was staying for the past couple of days, since I brought him here, and he opened the door to a whole new world for us. “ Is there a problem?” I asked him when I walked after closing the door behind me. The old man turned around to see me standing in the doorway. He smiled, “Good, you're here. I'm going crazy behind lock-up in here. I need to get some air.” The man whined.

Lukan “The case is dismissed; there's not enough evidence for us to take action against the Silvermoon.” The elder had said during the meeting that I had asked to see how they would react to the news that Silvermoon was fighting illegally; they didn't disappoint, refusing to look further and just closing the case. I slowly lifted my gaze. “ No grounds?! We have confirmed the fights we have witnessed and the survivors' confessions. What more do you need?” I ask them. An elder cleared his throat. “Silvermoon claims the incidents occurred outside their official territory.” I let out a sharp laugh. “You expect us to believe an underground fight is going on and they don't know anything about it? , What about the confessions?” “The council must maintain balance,” another councilor said calmly. “Accusations alone are not enough.” “Those weren’t accusations,” I snapped. “They were confessions.” I stepped forward, my aura pressing against the chamber walls. “You are choosing si

Rowena By dawn, Lukan and I marched up to the Silvermoon gate. We burst it open, Lukan dressed as one of the warriors to keep suspicion since we now know they are mistaken Lucian for Lukan, and during our search, we found two scents: one from Silvermoon, the other from Loha Robert. These two dare come onto my property and take my people. Leaving Lukan and the warriors to take care of themselves, I had other business to attend to. I found out some stuff about my parents' death that I needed to confront my uncle about, and I knew exactly where to find him. I storm into the study, my footsteps echo through the room, my uncle looks up, startled, but he remains behind the desk. “ You know why I'm here, don't you?” I asked him. I stood behind Drake, who was sitting in my chair. I've been looking for him since I saw him in the hallway with the little boy. They heard the chaos going on outside. Drake tried to get up, but I pushed him back down on the chair. “ What the hell is going on?

Rowena The days have been draining. Getting rid of the Silvermoon was a huge success; even with Jaden and Mira on the run, we still took away the Council, one of the most important allies, which would be a massive loss to them. I hope that would put a stop to whatever is being planned, but this is all wishful thinking. I pulled on a pair of blue yoga pants and the same fitted top, twisting my hair into a messy ponytail before heading down the hall toward the training room. The air shifted the moment I stepped inside. Lukan was already there, waiting. He stood near the center of the room, sleeves rolled up, muscles taut as if he’d been preparing longer than necessary. His gaze lifted the instant he sensed me, sharp. The bond hummed quietly between us, awareness tightening the space. “Today we work on our powers; it's time we figure this out,” he said. “Good,” I say, “I'm tired of hiding while they're showing off.” “Let's do this!” He yelled, standing across me on the ma

Rowena Quiet was supposed to feel like relief. Instead, it pressed against my skin like the heavy air before a storm. I rolled the pen between my fingers, tapping it once more against my cheek as the same thought looped relentlessly through my mind. The Council didn’t seize land without a reason. Not prime territory bordering Alpha Zane’s pack. Not land that once hid a tunnel tied to a rogue leader who vanished like smoke. Too clean. Too deliberate. The memory of that night crawled back in sharp fragments, the four of us slipping onto the property under the cover of darkness, the way the earth itself seemed wrong beneath our feet. We searched longer than we should have, every minute a risk, yet there was nothing. No entrance. No false wall. No disturbed ground. Just absence. And yet. I could still smell it. Old wolf. Not fresh. Not living. The kind of scent that clings to stone long after blood and breath are gone. Time-worn. Intentional. Covered, but not erased. Which meant
