Blue’s Pov“That was insane” I yelled out as we stepped out of the club.“Shhh…stop yelling.” River scolding, while she chuckled.“That was the craziest thing ever to happen in this fucking city. I need the details of everything that happened. The how’s, the where’s. Spill the tea.” I urged.River looked around, “let's get home first.”“Your house or mine?”“Mine…” she concluded and just like that we were on our wayhome.************************Immediately we got home, I flopped on the couch while River walked into the kitchen.“Where are you going?” I yelled“Going to get some actual tea!” she yelled back which made me chuckle.I brought out my phone, as I began to scroll though it. Social media was going crazy.River’s face was plastered all over the fucking blog.Just then River walked in with a tray. It had a teapot and two cups, then the plate had some cookies.“You are fucking famous…” I announced it to her.“Tell me about it.” she said in a sarcastic voice as she dropped the

River’s PovThe morning after Blue left felt like a hangover I couldn’t sleep off.The silence in the apartment was suffocating. Her mug was still on the counter “No Drama, Just Tea” written in pink letters. The irony wasn’t lost on me.I stared at it for too long, trying to convince myself that she would come back, that she would knock on the door like she always did after we fought but this time… it felt different. Her words kept echoing in my head like it was addicted to chaos.Maybe she was right.I tried to distract myself, made coffee, scrolled through my phone. There were three messages from Orion, all unread.Orion: You didn’t sleep, did you?Orion: Meet me tonight.Orion: Don’t make me come find you, Little Flame. The last one made my pulse trip. He had a way of making threats sound like invitations, and that was the problem. Every time I got close to walking away, he’d pull me back with a single word.I shoved my phone into my jacket pocket and decided to get out of the ap

Ryker’s PovZoey slammed the door behind her as she walked into the penthouse, her heels clicking against the marble floor like gunshots. “You look like hell,” she said flatly, tossing her jacket onto the couch.I didn’t answer. My eyes were glued to the city lights below, the same neon sprawl where I’d just watched her ride off with him.River was on his bike. Her arms around Orion Kane like she belonged there. My jaw tightened until it hurt.“I said you look like hell,” Zoey repeated, walking over to the bar. She poured herself a drink without asking. “Let me guess……Little Miss Firecracker was with him again?”I turned toward her, the muscle in my cheek twitching. “You knew.”She arched a brow. “Everyone knows. Half the city’s gossip feeds are drooling over the new ‘it couple.’” She made air quotes. “River and Orion, the angel and the devil. It’s PR gold.”I grabbed the nearest glass and threw it against the wall. It shattered, red wine dripping down like blood.Zoey didn’t even fl

River’s PovMy hands were shaking. The door rattled once more as Ryker’s fist slammed into it from the other side, and I took an involuntary step back.My wolf stirred under my skin, restless and terrified all at once.“River!” he barked, his voice muffled by the thick oak door. “You think you can just walk away from me? From us?”I pressed my back against the wall, trying to steady my breathing. The anger in his tone sent a chill down my spine, not because I hadn’t heard it before, but because this time it was worse. My phone was still in my hand from the call with Jackson, and I didn’t even think twice before dialing Orion’s number. He picked up on the first ring.“River?” His voice was deep, calm, that dangerous kind of calm that came right before a storm.“He’s here,” I whispered, clutching the phone tight. “Ryker’s here. He is outside my door and he is losing control.”There was silence for half a second, then I heard a low growl from the other end.“Don’t open that door,” he or
