David’s POV I couldn’t pretend like I didn’t surprise myself when I had said “ Anything for you” to Marilyn. But I also couldn’t deny how much I meant it. When I saw her at the gala, she had captivated me, and I couldn’t explain why. As I pulled up to the address she had given me, I spotted her almost immediately, walking elegantly out of the restaurant, her steps slow and deliberate as always.
