Erica's POV. "What?" Being imprisoned by the dungeon's walls was the worst punishment asides death, and I wondered everyday, why Mom was thrown in there without proper investigation after being accused of poisoning Lady Sara's tea. Day and night, I pondered how it felt to be chained to the ground, surrounded by mountain ash and wild coyotes, with only a lit candle to betray the darkness inside. I thought of the feeling of healing again and again after being being clawed, bitten and almost torn apart…but Mom…she endured. “It's just twenty years my love…twenty years and I'll be free from here.” She would say anytime I visited, I would roar at the coyotes and they would flee to the darkest sides of the dungeon…and then I would talk to my mother who was already losing her life bit by bit. She hadn't seen the full moon in months…not even the half moon or crescent…this was her punishment, to suffer and lose her powers slowly at the same time. We were just Omegas, surviving under

Erica's POV. Covered in new clothes, Mom stared back at me in tears. I couldn't believe it, her freedom came by so fast. “Oh Moon Goddess!” I exclaimed with joy, as I flung my arms around her…tears streamed down my cheeks as my heart alone couldn't bottle up the happiness. “Everyday passed, and I never ceased to pray to the moon goddess, she was so kind to look at me…oh Erica baby, what did those evil people ask of you huh? Did they say you would work an extra hundred years?” Mom asked. What was I going to tell her? That I traded my virginity for her freedom? Even the moon goddess would not forgive such act…and mother would be heartbroken. “Erica?” She cupped my face, as she peered into my eyes. “It's nothing Mom,” I sniffed, as I wiped off my tears, taking in a deep breath, “ I begged them, that's all.” I lied confidently, and Mom fell for it, as she hugged me again, rubbing my back with her hand. “I'm so glad to be with you.” She muttered. We heard footsteps approaching, a

Alpha Rowen's POV. She was distant…Erica was distant, I didn't know if it was the pregnancy thing, although a bump hadn't appeared on her belly yet. It's been two months since we got married, we hadn't touched each other since then, she stayed in her own room, just like Denise stayed in hers, always nagging about the fact that Erica would never compare to her status… And I? I was too busy with the pack, fighting rogues off our territory and rivals who never learned their lesson after I'd killed a good number of them… But today, was another special day, no fights, just the peace and quiet. I walked in, into Erica's room, and there she was, sitting straight on her bed, pondering over thoughts I couldn't tell. I went to her, sitting by her as I placed my hand gently on her belly, looking straight into her eyes as she peered into mine. Then her lips parted… “Why did you marry me?” This was something she'd wanted to ask for long, why I'd married her, why I went after a maid

Erica's POV. I waited patiently for him to say what he was, a witch? A vampire? A Hyde? Or something more despicable. He peered into my eyes, as he fed my impatience, taking a lot of time to answer. “I'm Gay.” He said, barely above a whisper, and let out a light laughter. I scoffed. “You're a jerk, seriously.” I told him, as I looked away… “ Wait, you didn't know? Com'on Tasha, something's wrong with you.” He said. “Nothing is wrong with me. I just…” My words faded into the wind. “Just what? You bumped your head into something?” He asked, as he raised his eyebrows, giving me a long stare that threw thousands of questions at me. “I woke up from a trance.” I blurted, as I badly wanted to believe that I just saw things…and whatever happened was nothing real…infact it was nothing real. Danny stared at me for a long time, and then his hilarious laughter rang across the room. “Oh Tasha, you never cease to amaze me.” He smiled, “Now snap out of whatever nonsense you're t

Erica's POV. Pieces of glasses stuck in my flesh as blood seeped out from the cuts, I groaned, forcefully pulling myself from the car. “Fuck.” I cursed under my breath, as I pulled out a large glass piece from my forehead with force. It was a fucking deer that ran out of nowhere like something was chasing it. I tried to heal…I forced it, it was better to be early than late. I let out deep breaths as my butt sank to the floor, I felt my muscles were losing strength until I became whole… “Danny?!” I called out to him, but he was silent, for a long time. I got up on my feet, dusted myself up and pushed my hair behind as it had stuck to my sweaty face. I walked towards Danny's side, just after pulling the deer off the car by it's thick horns… He was almost like pulp, covered in deep cuts and bruises…but for sure his heart raced like anything alive, I sighed as I pulled his heavy body out of the car, dropping him gently on the ground. “Danny? Can you hear me?” I took his hand in m
