The earlier music still echoed in Nyra's head as she slipped behind the curtains backstage. Her breath came in light gasps, but she masked it with a proud smile. Chapter 3: Two Nights

Nyra didn't stay back.The moment that scream left her mouth, she spun on her heels and ran. Her heart pounded like a war drum in her chest. She breathed out panicked bursts as she ran through the hallway, nearly colliding with a dancer on the way. She ran into the break room, where Madam Vexa sat counting cash and scribbling on a note.“What the hell happened to you?” Vexa asked, raising an arched brow as Nyra stormed in, cheeks flushed.“I need to leave.”“Excuse me?”Nyra went straight to her drawer, fled it open and yanked out her bag.“I said, I need to leave. Chapter 4: In The Middle of the Heat

Madam Vexa didn't speak as she handed Nyra over. Though she communicated with her through her eyes before Nyra went off.Alpha Kael stood waiting just outside the club's underground corridor with Alaric in a black SUV. Rheya stood at the upper terrace of the castle as she watched Nyra run in the dark and into the woods. She had just wondered how she passed by without the guards knowing.She had seen her leave, and she wanted to go after her, but she refrained. The instant she beheld her, Rheya knew she wasn't from Blackfang or any neighboring pack, and she wasn't a human either. Nyra didn’t know what to expect when the guards dragged her out of the chamber room. As they walked, Kael's words still echoed in her head like a curse. Then be mine. Seriously? She scoffed inwardly. Instead of the cold stone dungeon or the sting of another slap, they pushed open a heavy door and tossed her inside a large, dimly lit room. The floor was smooth and clean. The bed was massive, its sheets plain and untouched. Nyra was confused. She stumbled forward and turned slowly. The door slammed shut behind her. She blinked, breath catching in her throat. “This... isn't the dungeon?” It was a private room. Nyra had expected Kael to throw her into the dungeon like Madam Vexa after she didn't reply to his demand to become his sex slave. She began pacing the room. Her thoughts chased themselves in circles. ‘Why hasn’t he killed me yet? What is he planning?’ Her body ached, her cheek still stung, but the fear had dulled into confusion. She couldn't be a sex slave to her enemy!
