ADIRA'S POV I did not mean to disrespect him. I just could not bring myself to stop. But even now, after everything, I did not feel any better. My heart still felt like it was going to explode. My fingers curled tighter around the steering wheel, and I rested my head on it. I was still seated in the car when I heard a knock at the window. I turned around to find my parents’ faces.
