RYDER'S POV Jackson's words stuck in my mind for the rest of the day. I tried to forget the question he had thrown at me, but it only nagged at me even more. I looked at my table files and papers scattered everywhere. There were still many things to get done. I pressed my temple, massaging softly to ease the ache I was feeling, but the pounding headache did not relent. I sighed and got up. There was no way I could continue working with this much pain.
