Sienna“He needs food, not milk, I told you if you coddle him too much he’ll get fussy.” Kylie chastises Killer, but he ignores her, and turns around to go back to what he was looking at with Kaleb nestled in his arm. His tattoo’s are on display. The short white t-shirt he now wore, leaving not much to the imagination.I never got the chance to examine them or anything else pertaining to my husbands body. Could Kylie’s plan work? I wonder, because I’m not sure Killer would be kept at bay, at least not with me playing the entertainer.Staring at my kid, an ache holds me in place. I want to touch him and spend all my time with him, so he can remember me, but I know it’s selfish, and I don’t think I would have the courage to let him go if I do. I ball my hands, my finger nails dig into my palms. The pain is mild, the damage none.Kylie slips her hand in the crook of my elbow, and I get a grip of myself.“Whatchya doing?” Kylie pulls me with her and we go closer to the small crowd. I

Sienna After eating, and doing the dishes, Diamond, Wyatt and Snake go back to what they were doing. Dexter takes a seat next to me on the deck, and I don’t dispute his closeness.“It took me a while to come to terms with what you did. More so because of what happened between us. But I moved past it,” he pauses, searches for something in my eyes, before turning back toward the night sky.“Good friends are hard to come by,” His voice is so gentle that if I wasn’t paying attention I would’ve missed the sweetness in his tone.“I guess Killer knows too.”“The entire club knows, as well as Marcus, and a few others. Must suck to know she’s still here, choosing you. It’s never easy to live with that kind of guilt, I would know.”I close my eyes, relishing the nip in the open space, the crisp smell of the night’s fresh air.“Why are you telling me this, Kent? It’s not your thing to bring up the elephant in the room.”I open my eyes, giving him a glimpse of how hard this is for me.“Y

Sienna How could I not want this man?How does anyone not want him? He’s a living, walking dream, conjured up into a male specimen designed to feel nothing, but make you feel everything. He lifts my hand, palm up. I open it, but he turns my hand around, touching my index finger then my ring finger. My sex clenches at the small insignificant gesture. He slips my wedding ring on my finger. My eyebrows must be centimeters closer to my hairline, as I stare at the ring on my finger.I completely forgot about it. Never in the three months whilst in hospital, and rehab did I feel the loss of my wedding ring.“Wedding rings serve a reminder to people that you’re taken.” He steps closer to me, my breathing harsh. Is he going to kiss me? His jawline rough, lips firm, I want him to kiss me, kiss me. His warm breath grazes my cheek, his mouth tickles my ear and his hot breath holds me in a standstill. I close my eyes forgetting who I am, who he is at this moment, but remembering what he can

Frost Safety- the condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk, or injury. I repeat the mantra as I slowly lift Kaleb in my arms. His small body, heavy as I hold him close to my chest. He stirs but doesn’t wake. I’m glad he sleeps like the dead, this wouldn’t be so easy if he didn’t. Diamond uses her flashlight to gather his bottles I kept in the small fridge and the few nappies he’ll need for the flight. Safety, the condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk, or injury. This is his safety. I’m doing the right thing, I’m keeping him away from danger. My phone vibrates, and I look at the message. It’s almost three in the morning, a sure time that everyone is sleeping.Everything’s ready. Come to the front of the gate, I tranquilized the dogs so they should be out till morning. The sliding door at the back should be the quietest.I forgot about the dogs, and while I’m not particularly fond of the idea of tranquilizing any animal, it’s

KillerIf the Frankfurt’s’ were coming then I would need him in my corner. When Snake and I agreed to handle this we knew it was going to be personal. River agreed and while we had to leave the Clubhouse without the other’s knowing, Dexter took on the task without any of us asking. He said he wanted to help. And at the time I presumed it was because of Kylie but now I’m not so sure. I had a feeling he knew something, he wasn’t allowed to share. The guy never did anything to earn my distrust. We were intertwined by our link to The Shadows. And while The Satan Sniper’s had leaks, and at times hurt one another, The Shadows never strayed, they remained impenetrable. We couldn’t be bought, or threatened. We understood the risk of what we did. But where The Satan Sniper’s MC was family bound, The Shadows followed a code. And as our bond was forged it didn't surprise me, when Dexter offered his help. Three months ago he was no fan of Sienna, but even he understood that feelings and logic d
