ZOE’S POV By the time Lani showed up at my house the next morning, I was already half a mess both emotionally and literally. The living room looked like a storm had passed through it. Boxes were scattered around, drawers emptied, my memories folded up into brown cardboard squares. Lani stood at the doorway, her hands on her hips. “Wow,” she said, scanning the room. “So this is what betrayal looks like in real life.
