Lahat ng Kabanata ng My ex-husband’s nightmare: Kabanata 111 - Kabanata 120

Mason I watched Liam and Melanie walk through the gate. Before they stepped in fully, they turned and waved at me. I smiled, standing outside my car, and waved back. I had a good time with them. We spent a long time in the park, playing and having fun. When Lydia told me she would not be able to make it, it hurt me like crazy. Going with their nanny wasn't something I wanted to do at first. They had barely left, and I was already missing them. I comforted myself with the thought that I'll be seeing them in two days. Lydia promised to be with us. The gate closed, and I stepped into my car. I had something to do at the office. That was one of the reasons I had to return early. My phone beeped immediately after I stepped into the car, a text from Daniel. I tapped on the message, and it was a reminder about the party that will be held in two days. That was the same day I'd be spending time with the twins again. Thinking about it now, I don't think I'd be able to make it. “Let's talk

Mason “I got them,” my words are slow. “You too?” She nodded, staring intently at the picture and then zooming in. “What's going on?” Marcus asked, directing his question to Lydia, but his eyes remained fixed on me. I don't care about his glare. What's more important to me is getting this reporter. “Let's go talk about this. I'm sure we can fix it.” I said. “Lydia, what's wrong?” Lydia raised her head, extending the phone towards me. “Something came up earlier regarding the twins.” “What came up? Are the twins in danger?” Genuine worry flooded Marcus's eyes. He truly cares for them. But that doesn't move me; in fact, I am tempted to tell him he has no reason to care so deeply for them anymore. I'm here now. “No need. Lydia and I can take care of it.” Surely he knows the twins are mine. Marcus furrowed his brow, “Why would you?” He paused as if he had just realised. “Did you…?” Lydia nodded without allowing him to finish. “I was going to tell you today.” She said, gripping her p

Mason Lydia's words echoed in my head as I drove home. What could she mean? I know I left her in prison, but that's because of what she did. Granted, I should not have done that. I shouldn't have divorced her when she was at her lowest, but you can't blame me. My emotions were triggered, and I acted on them. Anyone in my position would have done the same. I am a better man now, with more control over my needs and emotions. My phone began ringing again. Why the fuck was Mom calling? I contemplated ending the call for a brief moment. But decided against it. She will not give it a rest until I speak with her, so I did just that. I am now on the highway leading to my penthouse. “Mason, what is this I am hearing?” She yelled from her end, anger drenched in her voice. “Come over right now.’ “Mom, can we do this some other time?” I requested, already mentally exhausted. “No, we are doing this right now.” “I can not,” I said, fixed on my decision not to go to her. “If you have even

Lydia A big black gate appeared immediately as my driver took the next turn. Soon, the car stopped in front of it, and a few seconds passed before the gate slid open, revealing a grand entrance. Making time to attend this anniversary was almost impossible. Mia had told me some time ago, but I had completely forgotten about it until I got a call last night reminding me of the event. The driver killed the engine. He stepped out and walked around to open my door. I stepped out. Cameras flashed, and I stood awkwardly for a brief moment, not expecting to be swamped by a crowd of reporters. Mia rushed to my side and led me in. Jigi Corporation's anniversary has been highly spoken about and anticipated by everyone. Jigi company has been in operation for over 70years and has invested in almost every sector. The cloud is orange, the glow of the setting sun covering half of the building. “Phew! How can they be so inconsiderate? I will never get used to this.” Mia said as we walked into the

Mason That evening would have gone so well if Julia hadn't shown up. I didn't invite her, and honestly, I don't care about having a date. I know Lydia was attending this and wanted to speak to her. Julia just had to ruin my plans, hooking our hands together and smiling like we were some happy couple. I tried to shake her off by reminding her about our breakup, but I knew that would be futile. We haven't formally announced our breakup, so most people here who knew us would probably assume that we are still together. When the event began, my eyes found Lydia. She looked dazzling, dressed in a red dress with white pearls scattered all over her dress. Her pearl necklace caught a glint from the light. How did I even fumble such beauty? I went out for a call when it was time to dance. It was a call I couldn't ignore. When I came back, Julia was all over Lydia, causing trouble. At this point, I may have to do something about it. I had to pull her away first and speak to her, but it was
