Lahat ng Kabanata ng CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

~Elara~He hasn't spent a night in his bedroom for days, I was low-key not expecting to see him tonight. But that isn't what made me freeze. He was shirtless, again.I shouldn't be fazed at his shirtless-ness. I should be used to this sight; this isn't anything new.But those muscles were so well defined and those abs, ugh! I just wanted to run my hand through them.Heat spread through my cheeks, as I swallowed.“I think we can make here your permanent room, you seem to like my chambers more.” Dravon said, bringing his eyes to meet mine.He doesn't seem to know the effect he had on me, or maybe he knew and was just pretending. His eyes left mine, travelling down my body, a smirk tugging his lips. The intensity of his gaze made my skin tingle, the warmth on my cheeks spreading to my chest. How could he stare at me like that when I was wearing the most hideous pyjamas ever?My idea was a flop.“Told you” Ney willfully reminded me.“What an interesting choice of night wear.” Dravon said,

~Elara~His statement ought to jug some alarm in me, but my cheeks flushed with glee instead.“At least try to announce yourself like a normal person.” I suggested, giving him a pointed look.“Normal?” He asked, raising his brow with his lips curved. “I thought we've established the fact that I'm not normal. Besides, where's the fun of announcing myself like a normal person?”“Normal or not, you could've just walked in and made your presence known.”“Well I did make my presence known in my own way.”I opened my mouth to speak but I closed it back, it was pointless arguing with him. He always found his way around my words.“If I just walked in, you wouldn't notice me like I want you too.” He added.‎“As if I don’t notice you enough already,” I muttered before I could stop myself.‎‎His brow arched. Of course he heard. His hearing was too sharp, even more than mine.He pushed himself off the archway, moving towards the platform. His strides carried a graceful air as he made his way tow

~Elara~Smiling, I drew closer to Dravon, trying to snuggle with him but he was soft. He was way too soft.I quickly opened my eyes, my smile waning instantly.I wasn't holding Dravon, I was snuggling on a pillow.Dravon was gone. He had left. How could he leave without informing me?I looked around for a note or something that could explain his absence, but I found none.Couldn't he just have told me he was leaving? Why sneaking out on me after the moment we shared last night?A sudden thought crossed my mind, making me freeze. What if everything was just a dream?Lately I've been having super vivid dreams of Dravon, this could also be a dream. No no, I wasn't stupid. This was definitely not a dream, I had felt everything. What happened last night was definitely not a dream. His scent still lingered strongly in the air, my lips still tingled at the memories of his mouth on mine and-Yes! There's something that'll definitely prove that last night was real.I quickly dashed into my clo

~Elara~The glitter from the ballroom as though it was a sky full of so much stars, did nothing to lighten my mood. The chandeliers were everywhere, spilling its golden light over the polished marble floors, were everyone were gathered, laughing and clinking glasses. The nobles were all dressed extravagantly, Alphas from different packs, betas and other high officials, all dressed in silk and other expensive clothing and Jewels that seemed to glitter than fireflies. With every turn I made, I couldn’t help but notice the beauty and extravagance, but I couldn’t quite shake off the uneasiness in my chest.Thank Goddess Mia and Aria made me dress up well.It wasn’t the gown that clung to my ribs that made me feel worse, it was something heavier, something I couldn’t place my hand on, that sad deep in my stomach like a stone. Unmoving.I need a moment to myself. Just a moment to breathe.I flashed a smile at Dravon, forced and fake and gestured towards the other side. He barely nodded as t

~Elara~The rest of the training was a blur.I was now used to the weight of swords now and could swing it with ease, but it kept slipping from my hands.I was heavily distracted, I knew that much. I kept straining my head, looking around to see if I could find Dravon.Maybe he changed his mind and decided to come lurk around. But yet again I was disappointed.I was even more disappointed in myself for being so attached to him.It was just one kiss for heaven's sake.I should be able to get over it and move on, just like Dravon clearly has.But he kept infiltrating my head, taking control of my thoughts.“You're distracted Elara.” Vincent pointed out, drawing me back to reality. “I expected your full attention since the King isn't around.”I let out a frustrated breath, dropping my sword. “I'm sorry Vincent, I had a rough morning.”“I know the nobles and elders can be intense, but don't let them get to you. We'll continue tomorrow, use the rest of the day to clear your head.”My lips
