062| Blades and Boundaries

The sound of my footsteps gave a loud echo through the empty hallway. There wasn't even any servant around.

It wasn't sunrise yet, but I didn't expect everywhere to be so quiet and empty.

I continued my walk regardless, moving towards the palace training field.

Yesterday my training resumed and it was now more advanced.

I was to use swords to practice.

At first I was flabbergasted. Never did I imagine holding a sword in my life.

Even my training with Kyle in Winterwood didn't involve using swords. We used more advanced weapons.

But here it was different, everything happens in stages.

The first stage is the use of your arms and bodies to fight, that was easy for me. I've mastered this stage.

The second stage was the use of swords.

According to Vincent, it was put in place so the traditional method of fighting will be preserved.

They didn't want to be like other packs who only knew how to handle sophisticated weapons but couldn't properly swing a sword.
