Alana’s POV Aurora had driven me home the morning of being discharged and we've just arrived at my house. It had been raining all morning but at least I was home. I'd asked her to stay because I didn't want to be alone right now. Elias' car was nowhere to be found as per usual but at least now I knew what 'work' he was getting himself involved in. I just don't know why. He's always been smart and he had dreams of working as an engineer in the future and he could've but I guess crime seemed more attractive to him. We step out of the car and I open the door with Aurora following just behind me. She closes the door and we both walk into my room, when we enter it, confusion clouds my mind. There was a large, beautiful bouquet of roses sat on my bed. "I think I know who they're from." Aurora says smiling. "Elias probably." "Your brother always gets you jewellery for your birthday." It was true. But I didn't want my mind to go to him. She walks over to my dressing table and opens the

Alana’s POVTwo weeks had passed since I met with Nicholas for that 'lunch'. I'd decided the next day after the lunch to ask for space because I really did need to focus on the restaurant. My concussion had faded and with the help of the staff Nicholas had hired and Aurora, in the two weeks I took apart from him, the restaurant was officially opening today at 5pm. I'd done a lot of promoting which I'd hoped paid off. Apart of me wishes I didn't ask him to give me space because I was so accustomed to him being there and I used to have little daydreams where I thought about him being there for me during the opening of the place and wearing the bracelet he got me, didn't help. I didn't know what I wanted, I want him but how do you build trust, how do you forgive that? I wish I was strong enough to just cut him off completely but I'd never been in love like this. No man has ever treated me like this and letting go was like feeding myself dirt and hoping that it tasted good. I check the

Alana’s POV"Hi, is Nicholas in?"I ask Eva, the receptionist at Nicholas' company. I'd come because last night he let me keep his jacket and I promised I'd return it back tomorrow. He said he didn't mind me keeping it but I couldn't keep it. It smelt just like him and memories of everything that happened between us came flooding back at me hard. The restaurant's first opening was a success however. We're going to be opening on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and so that leaves me enough space in the week for myself. "Why? You don't work here."She replies back rolling her eyes. So she's still a first class bitch."I need to give him something.""I'll give it to him.""You don't need to put yourself through the trouble.""Eva can I speak to you?"I hear a voice behind me and turn to see Enzo."Yes."All of a sudden, a large smile appears across her face and she bats her eyes so ridiculously I'm scared she might fly away. He comes towards the desk."You're fired."Her face d

Nicholas’ POV"Where is she going?"I ask Clara as I start putting on my clothes. I don't remember anything from the last hour or how and why I'm half naked. I'd come to Spain like I'd planned, I waited for two hours for Alana but she didn't show so I left. When I arrived, I went to my hotel room and sat waiting for a message from her for an hour but received nothing. Which was fine. I didn't like it but it was expected. She didn't exactly promise me she'd come even though I hoped she would. After that, I went to see Clara because she'd been blowing up my phone for the whole day checking up on me which was nice but I had much bigger things to focus on. Things that weren't here which is why I saw her in the first place. The trip was technically because of her but without Alana there, it felt pointless. When I got to her restaurant, it was empty, she was dressed up and had my go-to order plated up on the counter with wine. It looked like a date but when I asked her about it she denied

Alana’s POV"Hi."Clara says as she occupies the seat next to me in the hotel dining room. She looks annoyed and like she'd rather be anywhere else."I didn't exactly say sit but sure make yourself comfortable."She sucks in a breath as she looks down."He..."She shakes her head."He didn't do it ok? I lied about everything. He's not the type of person to ever do that to anyone but, I know how bad your situation is with him so that's why I lied."She shifts in her seat."I asked him to come visit me because I missed him but the whole time all he could talk about was you. I planned a dinner, hoping to get something, anything out of him but no. I knew you'd come crawling back at some point and even if you didn't I had a backup."He talked about me the whole day?"What plan are you exactly talking about?""I gave him sleeping pills. I wanted to stage it like we've just had sex. I hoped you'd walk in and hate him so much that you'd never give him a second glance. If you didn't show up, I
