Vivienne's POV The vest weighed heavier than I thought it would. While this might have sounded like a parable of some sort, it wasn't. I meant it literally. A small groan slid past my lips as I shrugged the leather jacket onto my shoulders. I tried to balance it out, and after a couple of tries, I liked to think I'd gotten a hang of it. Vivienne's POV The ride back to the house felt longer than it was, but I didn't dare speak. What was I meant to say?
