He Forced Divorce & Took Away My Son のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

“When a man is in love. He is consumed by the thought of only that woman. Whether it be days, months or years and when she is close, those thoughts explode, the feelings intensifies and everything urges you to just focus on her” He doesn't stop, keeps getting closer and my breath hitches when his cologne engulfs my senses. My fingers curl around the edge of the table. “It’s like the world stops. All that matters is that one person. Around them, you can't breathe yet feel the most alive” he rests his palm on the table, a little beside my hand at the edge. He leans down, eyes pining me with something so strange yet intense, my heart pounds in my chest. “That kind of love is lethal, addictive and most importantly permanent” his face is a few inches away from mine. I tear my gaze off him, my heart still racing and my mind completely scattered. “Asher’s love was temporary” he adds, leaning back and I breathe sharply. “The love that is damaging you and now, you're refusing to let it l

AGNOR: “And you thought it'd be better to part ways with Blue for her safety and play into Ariel's delusion?” I comment. “I had planned everything but Blue misunderstood and escaped” I stare at him. For one, my brother isn't the type to break anyone's trust and there's no denying he does love Blue. I have seen the way he looks at her. The same look he had on their wedding. A burst of love. “You are married, Asher” I state. “That marriage means nothing to me. It's more of a cage for me” he shares in a sad voice. “I don't want Blue to be scared of me or to think of me as someone cruel,” he adds. “What do you plan on doing? About Ariel?” I ask carefully. “I'm trying… I have a few detectives on Dale's case to find any clues that prove Ariel's crime and once she is locked away in prison, I can get my family back. Alex, Blue and me— “Hold that thought” I cut him off, my voice stern which leaves him surprised. “You’re forgetting something very important” I start and he frowns. I l

BLUE:Asher stops at the door, his hand still on the doorknob as his eyes flicks between Alex and me. The light catches in his eyes and just for a split second, I see something raw there. Hesitation maybe or pain.I don't want to fool myself with the assumptions led by my stupid heart so I feign a stern face, lack of any softness for this man.“Dada!” Alex jumps up in delight.Asher smiles, one that doesn't quite reach his eyes.“Hey buddy”I rise slowly, my spine straightening out of pure instinct of protection for my child.“Seems like, it wasn't really a lie” He says in a sad voice. I frown, not understanding what he meant.“You and Agnor” he adds, averting his gaze for a slight second. “Of all the people in the world, did you really have to choose him?”“I chose you first but see what happened” I mutter.“You have little to no idea how sick of a person he is” Asher argues.“Not sicker than you who snatched a child from her mother and tried to get his wife killed” I utter out the t

THE NEXT MORNING:My eyes flutter open, for a moment I just stare at the closet as exhaustion still lingers within me. But my eyes widen, feeling hot air brushing against my skin, at the back of my neck.I glance down, an arm is wrapped around my waist and one under my head. I gulp, attempting to move but his soft snores make goosebumps erupt all over my skin. Heat radiates from his body from the way his chest is pressed against my back.My throat turns dry at the proximity. I turn to look over my shoulder, his hair brushes my chin as his face is snuggled into my neck.“Agnor” I try to voice out but it's barely audible. I clear my throat and gently try to remove his arm from my waist but he hums deeply, sending a shiver down my spine.“Agnor, Wake up” I say out in a hoarse voice. When he doesn't move, I tap his arm and call him again. “Agnor, wake up”He finally stirs and his hand trails up my bump to my breast, resting there. I freeze in response.“Agnor!” I yell. His eyes flutter o

I can't comprehend for a moment. Just stare as Agnor is lounging on a couch with a book in his hand while Ariel is standing a step away from him as though sneering down at him. They both turn to me. Ariel looks devoid of any expression. Agnor is sitting there with a calm that screams he isn't afraid of anything.“What are you two doing here?” I ask quietly, hand curling tightly around the doorknob from the tension that clings to me.“What do you think?” Ariel asks, crossing her arms. A smirk curls on her lips as she moves close to me.“Maybe I'm trying to steal your new husband,” she whispers.“Why? Did Asher fail to satisfy you or is it in your nature to be a bitch?” I ask, venom lacing my tone.“Aww, it's so easy to rile you up. Try breathing exercises. It’s good for the baby” She says then bumps her shoulder to me as she walks past. I look over my shoulder to her retreating back as she starts humming to herself. How can a person be this… aggravating?I flick my gaze back to Agnor
