Samuel POV Back at my house, she stepped inside. Her eyes wandered around the room as though she had never been there before. I found myself following her gaze, watching as she silently took in every corner of the house.Without saying another word, she hurried across the marble floor, her footsteps echoing through the quiet room. I came in behind her and switched on the lights, flooding the house with a warm glow.She went straight to the kitchen, washed her hands, and immediately opened the refrigerator."Ah, you don't have any food...
