Sireen’s POV“Sireen. Are you there?” Camille asks from the other end of the phone, and I nod. Realizing that she can’t see me, I clear my throat and speak. “Whoever did this is just trying to get a reaction out of me,” I say, and I hear Camille’s exhausted and sad sigh. “I’m so sorry, Sireen,” she supplies, and I shake my head.“This has nothing to do with you. It’s fine. I have to go, Cam, I’ll see you later, okay?” Before I can end the call and regard Lily’s curious looks, Camille speaks. “Wait, Sireen. Today is the final day for the Moon Fest, you know? Will you be there? It’s totally understandable if you won’t,” she says, whispering the last part low enough for me to hear, and I bite my lower lip.“I’ll let you know,” I tell her before ending the call.“Fire on the mountain?” Lily asks immediately I put the phone down, and I tell her what happened.
