The Shadows of Archon のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 11 - チャプター 20

Ogra smiled at Cassia “I want to show you something. It’s inside the castle”. As they walked up to the castle entrance Cassia saw all of the incinerate ash spots of where her people had fallen in the courtyard. The sheer number of them was enough to break her heart. She could hear the echoes of their screams and the chaos. She quickened her pace before she was consumed by grief. Once inside of the charred castle, Ogra lead her to what was left of the great hall. The room must have been glorious in its splendor. Remnants of ornate sconces still were mounted on the walls. Two enormous paintings were mounted on opposite ends of the hall. One of those enormous paintings was of her mother and father. They looked so happy together dressed in elaborate and ornate clothes. Her father had on a crown that was designed as an ornate dragon holding a unique stone in its claws. Her mother had on a beautiful diadem that also held the similar unique stone. On the other side was her Uncle and Calista.

The loading of the wagon took longer than expected. BoldR and Duncan had to assist a lot of them into the wagon. Especially the halflings. Vampires can be exceptionally cruel to half breeds, the fact that they can survive on both food and blood they were deprived of both. They were so weak and emaciated they looked like living skeletons with skin. Plus their regenerative abilities are not as strong as a pure blood so it takes them longer to heal. It also didn’t help that their bonds were made of silver and they were given vervain which weakened them even more. The wolves were in better shape after they were fed, their healing was slow by incredibly high amounts of wolf’s bane. They all were covered in various amounts of whip scars. It made Cassia’s heart ached for their suffering. Melba was truly an evil person. To make it easier on Belthazar those of us that could walk were making the trip on foot. We also raided the castles food stores for supplies. There wasn’t much left due to

The Sun was shining bright when Cassia finally awoke. Liliana had been bouncing up and down in her bed laughing. When Cassia crawled out of the bed and walked over to her she raised her arms up. She looked up and grinned and said “ uppeas”. She picked her up and set her down on the floor. Liliana stood there waiting. “ Let’s get you dressed for the day shall we?” Liliana clapped her hands. Cassia picked out two outfits for her to choose from. She held out the clothes in front of her. Liliana grabbed at the clothes that she wanted. Cassia then dressed her sister in a simple calico dress with some cotton socks. She then got dressed in her Calico dress and cardigan sweater with striped socks with her hunting boots. She looked outside to see if anyone was up yet. The village looked quite still. She scrounged around the cupboards and found a couple of eggs. “Well let’s see if they are still good shall we?” She prepared a fire and heated up the cast iron skillet. She also found some tall

It seems like yesterday I was sword fitting with my dad, picking fresh fruit from the orchard with my mom and giving my little sister piggy back rides around in the yard. The weekly trips to the trader’s market. I miss the smell of fresh baked bread with melted butter, and the children stories. I was young, naive, and care free. How I long for yesterday. Cassia took a deep breath and sighed. Her sigh was filled with deep yearning. She looked over at her little sister who was sound asleep. Liliana looked so peaceful, her plump rosey cheeks and a cute button nose was accentuated by her long auburn hair that fell around her face in soft little ringlets. Cassia sighed once more and looked back down at her diary, and returned to her writing. How has time passed for me. Liliana is now 7 years old. I am now one of the council members , my days are filled with meetings, duties, and responsibilities. I was voted to be one of the village leaders during our first winter after Archon fell. T

A figure was resting his back against a pieced together jalopy of a box truck. He was taking long slow drags on a cigarette. As he exhaled he made small smoke rings. His skin reflected the sun revealing small reptilian scales. He looked over in the direction of the open field. His split tongue flicked the air. He saw 2 figures approaching at a fast pace. “GET THAT PIECE OF SHIT FIRED UP!!!” The man got into the truck and started up the engine. “Get that piece of shit going Ratchet !”A greasy looking man yelled at the reptilian man. “Dodger where’s Dice and spider? Shouldn’t we wait for them?” A look of confusion and concern filled Ratchet’s expression A monstrous sized man carrying two girls on either of his shoulders responded in a raspy voice with remorse “ They ain’t comin’ Ratchet .” Dodger yanked the doors open in a hurry. “Throw them in, let’s get the hell out of here!” Dodger spat out. The behemoth of a man placed the two girls in the van, and climbed in after word
