Mia's POV:I nodded slowly. “Okay. I’ll do it. I'll be the best godmother this child will ever have.” I said.Chloe smiled at me. “Thank you.”I strangely realized that she had started to have that aura in her. The aura of a mother. She was carrying herself with that grace of someone who knew that life grew in them.“Also, I came to tell you that I started school again. I went back to 11th grade. It was either this or I had to wait until a session was over to begin 12th grade. I think going a class lower will sort of help me catch up.”“That's exciting news. I hope it isn't causing you too much trouble. I know how kids can be when another kid is pregnant. How are you coping with the stress?” I asked. I threw Zayn a look. He never told me Chloe was back in school.“Not too much. And they're pretty nice about it. At least a few of them. My friends in 12th grade still hang out with me but it's a little weird. I could have been graduating this year with them if I hadn't thrown it all away

Mia's POV:William nodded thoughtfully. “I hope to change that.” He replied. But to what part? To not knowing about me anymore or to being friends. “I'm back now, Mia, and I intend to stay.”I consider promises lies until proven otherwise, I thought to myself. I still liked William but what he'd said tonight had dug up some type of anger/resentment.‘He’s an ass,’ Cassey said.‘He’s not. He just doesn't know what to say. We're both nervous. It's been years.’ I argued.William was not an ass. He was nice and sweet, although he kept repeating that he was boring. But, it also felt like he was hiding something. Why did he keep insisting he had a boring life?“Aside from the stores you run, what else do you do?” I decided to ask.“I play golf. As a hobby that is.” He said.My jaw dropped. “Golf? You play golf?” I asked to be sure.William rubbed the back of his neck. “Why do you sound so surprised?” He asked.“You used to be a jock!” I exclaimed. “How did you go from that to playing golf?

Mia's POV:Did Jace turn on flirting mode when he agreed to go out with me? He was usually playful and all that but now, he was making me feel things I haven't felt in a while. It was probably the mate bond.“Just keep going. And even if you make mistakes, it's okay. You can always fix them.” The instructor said, moving around. She smiled contently when she got to us. There was a photographer taking pictures.“Are we almost through?” I asked softly. He grabbed my fingers and lifted my hand, gently guiding me to place them on the sides of the vase we were making.“Apply a little pressure. Like this.” He said. He pushed my fingers into the clay and as the wheel spun it around, the vase began to thin, growing longer.“Wow…” I let out. Jace was doing most of the work honestly. I was just letting him lead the way.“I'll just…” He tried to reach lower but his chest pressed into my back even more. “Can you dip your fingers in the water?”“Oh, yes, okay.” I did as he said. He brought my hand

Mia's POV:Jace didn't even glance in my direction when he said, “I know she is. And I'm lucky to have her.”Kelly let out a small squeal. “That's so sweet. Young love has to be one of the best things to ever happen.” She gushed.“You're not much older,” I reminded her. I suspected she was probably in her thirties, seven to eleven years older, no more. “You're still young.”“It feels like you're gaslighting me.” She said but she smiled. “Goodnight, Mia.”“Goodnight, Kelly, and you too, Craig,” I said. We watched them leave first, getting into their white car and driving off.“So, where to?” Jace asked as we walked to where my car was parked. I didn't straighten. I leaned on him, my head resting on his arm.I hummed. “Home, of course. I'm so tired.” I replied.“Did you have fun?” He asked, unlocking the door for me.I nodded. “So much fun. I didn't expect a pottery class to be like this. It's a pleasant surprise. Never judge things from how I perceive things.”“I'm glad you did.” He sa

Mia's POV:“I just need to find a vase to put these real quick. Come on in.” Jackson walked away with the bouquet.I walked slowly into the penthouse. Unlike Jace's modern and minimalist-looking house, Jackson's house had this old-money vibe. There were a lot of browns and earthy tones. There were pictures of ships on the wall, as well as cars and bikes. I smiled. I'd picked the right date for sure.Hopefully, he was as good as I thought he was. When he emerged, I was looking at the picture of him from a horse racing competition. He was just a boy. “You were very handsome,” I commented, turning to smile at him.His hair was slightly combed back but still messy. Messy, in a good way. He looked at me with those green eyes. I wondered if I should have worn the emerald dress for this date instead. But, I decided that it would have been too elegant for what we were about to do.“When you say it like that, I kind of feel you think I don't look as good anymore.” He commented playfully.“You
