Sienna’s Point of View The steady hum of the tires against the road fills the silence between us. Outside, the trees rush by in a blur of deep greens. I rest my head against the window, watching the world pass us by, while Scott drives, one hand on the wheel, the other resting casually near the gearshift. “Almost there.” He says after a while, his voice soft. I nod my head, glancing at the time.“Yeah. Only another half an hour.” We have been driving in silence for a while now. I think we have both been doing our best to make conversation, just enough to keep our minds distracted, but it doesn’t really work.
