Semua Bab His Book club : Bab 101 - Bab 110

Arian's pov I groggily opened my eyes, a throbbing headache greeting me as I did. Why did I drink so much? I asked myself, trying to remember what happened last night but the events were hazy, refusing to come into focus no matter how hard I tried to recall them. I just remembered that we got to the bar and the celebration started. When I checked the time, I realized that I'd overslept and missed school. How was I supposed to explain that I overslept and missed school when I told the others to come?I used my day to draft the report of the festival from home. I texted Maya and she said she came but she left since she didn't see either me or April. I texted April but she hasn't replied to my text yet. Later, as the evening drew in, my phone buzzed with a text. I thought it was from April but no, it was from Luke. Confusion washed over me as I opened the message to see an invitation to dinner at a restaurant. I stared at the message, wondering if he had sent it to me instead of anot

Arian's pov The ache inside my chest was unbearable, an emptiness that gnawed at me with every breath I took. My steps were slow and heavy as I dragged myself further away from the restaurant and from Kael. “You are an opportunist, nothing more.” The weight of Karl Palmer's words was pressing down on my shoulders, making me question my existence. I don't know what hurt more between the insults or the helplessness in Kael's eyes. I didn’t even notice when the first drop of rain fell. It landed on my skin, warm compared to the lingering oldness of Karl's words. It started as drops until the sky opened up, spilling its grief upon me.Soon, I was drenched. My clothes clung to my body, my hair plastered to my forehead, but I didn’t care. I welcomed the rain as if it could wash away the sting of his father’s voice and the helpless look in Kael’s eyes when he couldn’t stand up to the man who had built his world.I tilted my head back, letting the rain hit my face, mixing with the tears I

Arian's pov The first thing I felt when I woke up was a heavy weight. It was as if it was trying to pull me back into the darkness. As I struggled to remain conscious, my head was throbbing and my mouth was dry. For a moment I didn’t even know where I was. I didn't know if I was alive or dead. Slowly, I became myself as my senses began to work. The room was dim, lit only by some golden bulb etched into the walls. Then I noticed the sheets under me were soft, but the color struck me immediately. It was red, a deep, dark red that felt more like blood than fabric. They were wrapped around me tightly, clinging to my skin, and it wasn’t until I tried to move that I realized something was wrong.I looked up and my stomach dropped. My wrists were bound by cuffs, fastened to the bedframe above me. The coldness of the steel dug into my skin.“No,” I whispered, panic clawing at my throat. “Is anyone there?” I raised my voice despite the dryness in my throat. The sound of footsteps broke the

Arian When Karl left, I continued to struggle with the little strength I had left. I know no one is coming to help me, so I have to help myself. I don't know how but I have to. The door creaked open again and my heart skipped. Before I could react, I heard my name.“Arian?”Kael’s voice cracked through the silence, making me relax a little. My eyes shot to the doorway, and there he was. Even in the dim light, I could tell that his hair was damp from the rain. Fear etched on his face as his chest was rising and falling. For a second, I thought I was dreaming. Could it be Kael or am I imagining things. “Arian?” he called again.“Kael,” I choked out. “Is it really you?”“Oh my God!” His eyes widened as he took in the sight of me. “Who did this to you?” He asked, rage and horror laced in his voice, twisting it into something similar to pain.“Who the fuck did this to you?” He asked again. “Can you help me out of this cuffs?” I asked, ignoring his question. How can I explain when my w

Arian's pov Going to school was out of the question. I couldn’t step into those halls or sit in a classroom pretending everything was fine, not after what had happened. My body was sore, my wrists were still red with marks from the cuffs, but worse than the heaviness inside me was Kael’s desperate eyes when I told him to leave.I lay curled on the couch, under the blanket, the world outside moving on without me. I hated myself for feeling weak, but every time I thought about getting up, the thought dissolved into nothing.A soft knock at the door startled me. I didn’t move, hoping whoever it was would go away. But then, my name was called. “Arian? It’s me. April.”April! My chest loosened a little. Of course she would come. She always seemed to know when I needed someone, even when I didn’t say a word.“Come in,” I called out with my hoarse voice. The door creaked open, and she stepped inside, her familiar presence filling the room with a warmth I hadn’t realized I was starving for
