~Teyana’s POV~Carol’s hand stayed on my arm as we entered the ward, like she wasn’t sure I would stay standing.My mother sat on the bed, her hair tied back loosely, IV taped to her wrist. The doctor stood beside her, giving his final discharge instructions. “Ah Teyana, you are here. Your mother is ready to be discharged now.” He said, smiling at me. “Thank you.” I managed to say, my eyes now on my mother. She looked strong, but her eyes said otherwise.She finally looked up at me, and surprisingly, a small smile came on her lips.
