Aurelia’s POV“Are you sure about this?” I asked, my voice a whisper. Rune, leaning against my massive dresser with his arms folded, gave a nod. I sighed and rubbed my cheeks as I sat on the bed. He’d just filled me in on everything that happened last night. He’d captured one of the spies, but his replies were subtle. “I don't know what else to do,” Rune confessed. “Every time I get closer, I find out that I am still far from the truth.”My eyes fell on Rune who looked like he was having an internal battle. His pale skin had bruises on it, and the drain circles under his eyes had returned. I wasn’t sure letting him continue with this search was a good idea. It was burning him out. “Rune. You need some rest,” I suggested. “We can talk about this later.”Rune shook his head as he leaned off the dresser. “No. There’s still more.
