Solene's pov.My life retuned in a snap to how it was before my mom got married to Alfred Campbell, and before my relationship with Noah. The teasings and insults increased, they threw nasty comments at me, but the only thing that changed was that I did not let any of their hurtful words affect me.As I stood in the middle of the career like a new student who got lost.My hands clutched the tray tight. I saw Vale sitting with a couple of people. He gave me a cherry wave and I broke into a smile.Only a few steps forward and the people around him walked away in different directions.I was like a pariah, no one wanted anything to do with me, not even to sit down at the same table in the cafeteria.I changed my direction and went straight to the table that was bare.It wouldn't be nice for Vale to loose out on friends because of me.“Look at her, acting all superior, such a bitch.” A girl behind threw a nasty comment.I knew it was about me, I've been receiving that a lot for the past th

Solene's pov.Carol stood in awe observing the interior of the house. It was the same expression I had when I came to live in here.“Damn, Solene, you must be living the life now. How are you still her after that witch got locked up?”I made a face, I wasn't ready to dive into the event that occured with my mom.“I understand if you don't want to talk about it, but you can come stay with my mom and I, that's why I am here. To take you with me?”“What? There's no need for that, I'm good right here.”She gave me an awkward look.“Something's up Solene, you are grown but I can still tell when you've got something on your mind.”I blew raspberry sounds out of my mouth, then proceeded to tell her the conclusion of Alfred in taking me in as his ward.I did keep the story of Noah aside though, she doesn't have to know about him, yet.“Now, that's a good man right there. Better than any of our daddies, I wish I have someone who's a billionaire and also kind at heart.”A broad smile showed on

Mallory's pov.I took three steps towards the tall model staring me down.Right in front of her. I felt small, I could not even look her straight in the eye without lifting my chin up.Still, I wasn't daunted.“Listen here, I don't care what Solene has told you. I won't let you talk down on me, this is the last time I'll tell you.”“Or else what?” Her boobs pushed my face away. She's trying to show that she's got bigger boobs right?I hate her already, aside from the fact that she's Solene's cousin, I already hate her.I raised my hand to slap her face with speed. But she caught it in mid air.In all my life, no one has ever been fast enough to catch me like that“Let go?” I ordered herShe had a mischievous smirk on her face, the upper part of her teeth showed.“Let me go.” I struggled. She let go at once and I lost my banalanu, the tip of her finger nails scraped my skin.It hurt a little bit. When I looked at it, spots of blood already formed on my skinI gnashed my teeth“I'll mak

Solene's pov.“I can't believe the nerve of him, she's barely stayed for three days. Three freaking days.” I raised three fingers in the air.Vale pushed the stroller right behind him, I had to leave the house.Get some fresh air, different from the one that Noah and Caroline were inhaling.I needed someone to vent to and Vale was just available. He had reached out to me to ask if I wanted to hang out.Normally, I'd say no. Don't want to spark up any thoughts in his head.I picked up his call right in front of Noah, so he could hear his voice.“Hello Vale, what's good?”“Yeah, can I come pick you up, I have some errands to run in the mall.”It was on speaker, I was sure Noah heard every single word.He acted like I wasn't even standing there, “It's a date then.” I said aloud.Noah would never in this world sit comfortably when he hears that I'm going on a date, especially with Vale of all people.“You are going on a date?” Caroline showed up.She had a plate of snacks in her hands,

Noah's pov. It's prom night, but it doesn't feel like prom. Not that I was into it in the first place, I came on my own since Caroline decided to wait for Solene, and I had no intentions in stopping her.I doubt if she had ever been to a prom before, she'd have known that the guy and the girl usually arrive at the event together.Everywhere was bubbly, people were in the spirit of prom.I saw Isaiah not far from where I was and waved him over, how I have missed my pal.“Hey man, what's up?” I couldn't complete my statement when I saw Becca Flynn hooked to his hand.My eyes said it all.“Don't give me that look, she asked me and I couldn't say no.”I shurgged my shoulders.“Do what makes you happy man, I don't mind.”Becca didn't even spare me a greeting, I'm sure she still blames me for her suspension when it was her who caused the chaos I'm the first place.I don't actually give a fuck about her.Speaking of people, I haven't seen Mallory in a while, I have had a lot in my head that
