VAL’S POV “Tell me you don’t want this,” he whispered, his voice a low growl, his fingers dragging slowly up my thigh until my breath hitched. I should’ve pushed him away, but my body was a frigging Judas, trembling as his palm pressed higher. My lips parted, but no words came out. Just a shaky exhale as he slid his thumb against the lace of my underwear. “God, Valeria…” he murmured, his forehead pressing against mine. “You drive me fucking insane.” I didn’t spare a minute, I clutched at his shirt, pulling him closer, desperate for more. “Say my name,” he demanded against my lips. “Matteo…” I whimpered. His answering groan tore straight through me, and the next thing I knew, his hand shoved my underwear aside. He dipped a finger into me slowly, as if he wanted me to beg for more, and damn did it work! I shamelessly clung to him, gasping. Every nerve lit alive as he worked me with slow, deliberate strokes that made my head spin. “You’re mine,” he rasped, kissing down my neck, b

VAL’S POVAva and I reluctantly strolled into the dining room, my eyes scanning the room as if I was looking for something I had misplaced. The grand chandelier overhead cast an eerie glow over the long mahogany table, where the fine china was meticulously placed as if it were a royal banquet. My mother sat poised at the head, her fingers elegantly wrapped around a crystal wine glass, a smile on her lips as she gestured for us to hurry.“Come quickly, girls,” she said, her grin so wide it became annoying.I could feel Dominic’s eyes on me before I could even think of sitting down. Heavy and assessing, yet, I didn’t dare look at him. Instead, I pulled out a chair beside Ava, but before I could sit— “Honey, sit next to Matteo,” my mother’s voice cut through the room.I froze, my spine snapping straight, “What?”Her smile didn't waver, but her eyes sharpened, "Next to your brother," she said, tilting her wine glass in Matteo's direction.Just kill me already, Mom!“He’s not my brother,”

VAL’S POVAgainst my better judgment, I pushed it open and stepped inside. The room was dimly lit, and for a moment, I thought it was empty. Then I heard a sound, a soft moan followed by a deeper voice. My eyes adjusted to the dimness, and I saw Matteo kissing someone, and it wasn’t bitchy Gianna, it was a girl I'd never seen before. His hands were tangled in her hair, pulling her closer as their mouths moved together. I should have left immediately, I should have turned around and pretended I never saw anything. But I couldn't move. I just stood there, frozen, watching as my stepbrother cheated on his girlfriend with a complete stranger. Not like I give two fucks about Gianna.I guess he was so engrossed in his unholy act that he didn’t even notice me. After about a minute, Matteo pulled back slightly, and the moment his eyes landed on me, his entire body went rigid."You need to leave," he said to the girl, his voice tight with urgency."What?" She whined, trying to pull him back fo

VAL’S POVI was quiet, not because I didn’t know what to say, but because he was right. He was so fucking right."I need you," he whispered, the words barely audible, torn from somewhere deep and vulnerable. In that moment, I looked at him, really looked at him. At the boy who'd tormented me for these past years. At the face that had filled my dreams countless times, and I realized suddenly that Matteo had been the reason why I had turned down all the guys that tried to hit on me.Without saying a word, I walked toward his bed, each step deliberate, my heart hammering so loud I was sure he could hear it. I lay down on his sheets, spreading my legs apart, looking up at him with eyes that I knew were wild and hungry."Then take me," I said.He had awakened something I'd thought was dead, buried under years of denial. And now that it was awake, it wanted. It wanted everything.Matteo stared at me for a long moment, his chest heaving, his eyes darkening to black. Then he walked to me, his

VAL’S POVThere, standing in the middle of the room, was my stepdad, completely naked, just about to step into a pair of pants. My eyes widened as my mouth gaped open. I did a full one-eighty and bolted back to my room, but not before the image was permanently laser-etched onto my retinas. Every single muscular inch. And yeah, that part of him? The one that made my mouth go dry? That definitely, definitely caught my attention.I tried to drown the memory in more tequila, a stupid plan because all it did was make the picture in my head sharper, more high-definition. Just then, a knock on my door had me jumping out of my skin. I was too chicken shit to answer, but the door opened anyway, and Dominic came in, fully dressed now, thank God, but still radiating that hot, commanding energy that always made my panties feel a little too tight."Val, are you okay?" He asked."I'm so sorry," I said, my face flushing, "I only meant to say thank you for saving me, today. I didn't mean to... you k
