Dr. Raven's voice came slow and heavy, like a tired growl. Her sigh hung in the air as he spoke. "The lady's father dropped to his knees in front of me," Dr Raven said. "Said if his daughter didn't make it through the surgery, her mother wouldn’t survive it either. He begged me to save her life with all I had." Silence settled before he added, voice low. "But even with all the healing hands we had, the girl didn’t survive the cut. And not long after... her mother followed her to the grave." The call recording cut off, leaving the pack of listeners stunned. Dominic turned his wolf-gaze on Nathan. "After our digging, it’s true," he said, voice firm.
