Chapter 11

Chapter 11I stood there long after the door closed. The silence Damien left behind felt heavier than before, pressing down on me until it became hard to breathe. My chest rose and fell slowly as I stared at the door, half-expecting it to open again. But it didn't.And somehow… that made everything worse.'Because this didn't start last night.'His words echoed in my mind again. My stomach tightened. What did he mean by that?I didn't know him. Not really. And yet… there had been something in the way my body reacted to him. Something instinctive. Familiar. Like my body recognized him even when my mind didn't.That thought unsettled me very much.I ran a hand through my hair, pacing slowly across the room. The space suddenly felt too large.Too quiet.Too unfamiliar. My head still throbbed faintly, as I try to understand everything that's happening or everything that hadn't made sense.I exhaled slowly, trying to steady myself. This was insane.I didn't know where I was.I didn't under

Chapter 12

As I sat down on my bed staring at the empty food tray, my throat suddenly felt dry, and my stomach twisted painfully. I pressed my palm against my chest, trying to steady my breathing, but it only made the sensation worse.Something was wrong.Very wrong. At first, I tried to convince myself it was stress. Maybe my body was reacting to everything that had happened during the past few days. The forced engagement. Damien. The strange estate. The things he kept saying that made no sense. But deep down, I already knew this wasn't normal. Then my senses exploded again.Sound rushed in first.I could hear footsteps somewhere down the hallway.Voices downstairs. The faint rustling of leaves outside.Even the soft hum of electricity in the walls. My eyes widened. It was too much.Every sound crashed into me all at once, loud and overwhelming. It felt like my brain couldn't process any of it fast enough.I squeezed my eyes shut, but it didn't stop.If anything, the sounds only became clearer.

Chapter 13

I woke up again to the now slightly familiar bedroom ceiling, my head still throbbing faintly, though not as badly as before.Slowly, I pushed myself up, the blanket slipping down to my waist. The movement made my head spin slightly, forcing me to pause for a moment.I sat there quietly, staring into space as I tried to piece my thoughts together. Then a voice spoke beside me."You're awake."Startled, I turned toward the sound and froze.Damien was sitting on the dark grey sofa across from the bed, one arm resting lazily against the side as he watched me.For a moment, I forgot how to breathe. He looked… stunning.Absolutely stunning. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt with the first few buttons undone, revealing part of his slightly tanned chest. Black pants fit perfectly against his long legs, and a dark belt rested around his waist, the silver buckle shaped like a wolf. Even in something so simple, he still looked powerful.Dangerously so.My eyes slowly drifted back to his face,

Chapter 14

I woke up alone. For a few seconds, I just stared at the ceiling, listening carefully.Silence.No footsteps. No voices. No Damien. That disappointed me more than it should have.I frowned slightly at the thought and pushed myself upright. My body still felt strange, but not painful like before. The intense hunger from yesterday had faded into something quieter now.The room felt colder without Damien in it.I quickly shook the thought away before it could settle too deeply in my mind. This place was already messing with my head enough.I swung my legs off the bed and stood slowly. This time, the dizziness didn't come.Instead, my body felt… lighter.More awake and aware.I could hear the faint ticking of a clock somewhere down the hall. The distant sound of footsteps downstairs. Even the wind brushing against the trees outside. It still felt unnatural. But less overwhelming than before.I walked toward the large mirror near the dresser and paused. For a moment, I barely recognized my

Chapter 15

For a moment, neither of us spoke. The hallway felt colder than before. My eyes stayed fixed on Damien, searching for any sign that I had imagined what I saw.But I hadn't.This was the first time since I met him that he looked genuinely uneasy. Not afraid.Damien didn't seem like the type of person who feared anything. But concerned?Yes.And somehow that was worse. My gaze shifted briefly to the black door behind me.The strange silver markings seemed almost different now.Like they were watching me.A shiver ran down my spine."What is this place?" I asked quietly.Damien's expression hardened instantly."A part of the estate you shouldn't be in for now.""That's not an answer.""No," he agreed calmly. "It isn't."My frustration returned immediately.Every conversation with him felt the same.Questions.Half-answers.More questions.I folded my arms across my chest."You know, normal people usually answer when someone asks them something."Damien stared at me."Normal people usuall

Chapter 16

Damiens POV The howl still echoed in my mind long after the sound had disappeared into the forest. I stood still my eyes fixed on the trees beyond our estate. The full moon is coming. It will be here soon. Beside me Jeremy moved a little looking in the direction as me toward the forest. "What was that noise?" he asked quietly. "It was a wolf " I said. He looked surprised. "There are wolves near our estate?" he asked. "Yes there are " I said. He waited for me to say more. I did not. After a moment I turned away from the forest. "We should go back now " I said. Jeremy hesitated for a moment before following me. We did not talk during the walk back. The silence between us was not uncomfortable anymore. It was heavy with things we did not say. Every seconds I found myself looking at Jeremy. His breathing was normal. His heartbeat was steady. I knew this would not last. The bond between us had started sooner than it should have. His senses were already changing. Yest

Chapter 17

Jeremy's POVI hardly slept.Every time I closed my eyes I kept hearing the word."Tomorrow."Damien said it many times that it started to lose its meaning.Tomorrow.Tomorrow hes going to answer my questions.Tomorrow hes going to explain everything.Tomorrow...I'm not sure if I believe him anymore. The morning sun shone through the curtains making shadows in the unfamiliar bedroom. For a moments I just lay there staring at the ceiling.I got used to it.That realization made me uneasy. This room isn't mine. This house isn't mine.Nothing here belongs to me.Somehow...It feels familiar.I pushed the thought away. Sat up slowly.Unlike the few mornings my body didn't ache as much. The strange headaches are almost gone.My hearing is still sharper than normal.I can hear birds singing outside.Leaves rustling away.Somewhere downstairs dishes are clinking as breakfast is being prepared.None of it feels normal.I'm starting to adjust. That thought alone makes me uneasy.A gentle knoc

Chapter 18

Jeremy's POVI followed Damien through the large wooden doors in complete silence. My mind was still stuck on a single word.Luna.No matter how many times I repeated it in my head, it didn't make any more sense. The people outside hadn't sounded confused. They hadn't been joking. If anything...They had looked completely certain. As though calling me Luna was the most natural thing in the world. And I hate how unsettling I feel. The inside of the building looked different from Damien's family residence. It wasn't as luxurious.Instead, it felt warm.Lived in.The walls were built from polished timber, decorated with old photographs and large paintings. The scent of burning wood drifted through the air from a fireplace somewhere deeper inside the building.People moved through the hallways, talking quietly among themselves. The moment they noticed Damien, every conversation stopped."Alpha."Heads lowered respectfully. Then their eyes shifted toward me."Good afternoon, Luna."I almos

Chapter 19

Jeremy's POV"It has everything to do with you."I stared at Damien for a while before letting out a quiet laugh."...Right."I rubbed a hand over my face."So now you're going to tell me I'm a werewolf too?""I am."Another laugh escaped me.This one sounded almost helpless."I've officially lost my mind.""You haven't.""No?"I gestured around the room."Because from where I'm standing, I've been kidnapped by a man who claims to be the Alpha of a secret werewolf society, brought to a place where everyone insists on calling me 'Luna,' and now you're telling me I'm one of them."I shook my head."Do you hear how crazy that sounds?""I do.""And you still expect me to believe it?""I expect you to keep listening."I sighed dramatically."I really should have stayed home."For a brief moment, I saw the corner of Damien's mounth lifted. It disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared."You wouldn't have been safe there."My smile faded."There it is again."His brows drew together slight

Chapter 20

Damien's POV"Jeremy!"My voice echoed across the training grounds, but he didn't seem to hear me.His entire body shook violently as he remained on one knee, one hand clutching his chest while the other dug deep into the earth beneath him.No.This wasn't supposed to happen. Not yet.'Our mate!'Kael's roar exploded through my mind.'He's in pain!'"I can see that."I crossed the distance between us in seconds, dropping to one knee beside him."Jeremy."His breathing was ragged. Each breath sounded more painful than the last.Sweat beaded across his forehead, and his face had gone deathly pale.He looked as though every muscle in his body was fighting against itself. Then I realize.I seen first shifts before.Dozens of them.Young wolves cried. Some screamed. Some even begged for the pain to stop. But this...This was different.Jeremy's transition had started without warning.Without the full moon rising.Without any of the signs we normally expected. It shouldn't have been possibl
