Semua Bab Alpha's Tension: Bab 111 - Bab 120

Daliah At first, I don't move. The feeling of my blood seeping into my white dress is hardly present in my mind over the panic that engulfs me. Ben shouts beside me, the paster turns to run, and my world spins violently. When I blink, I find myself looking at the blue sky, feeling the sun against my skin. Breathing seems to be impossible, and every time I try to inhale, something causes me to stop. When I feel the warm blood pouring from my mouth, the confusion drains, and it is replaced with panic. That dagger was able to hurt us both, through a spell or something, and he had used it to his advantage. Carter has an agenda to kill us, and he is doing a great job at it. I am not on the ground long before Bethany and Ben are both in my blurring vision. I don't hear what they say, and I try not to cough the blood from my throat up. I know I am panicking, feeling my eyes wide, and it does not help Ben in the slightest. His hands run over my face over and over again while he speaks wor

Daliah The moment my mind drifts to Ben, I am rewarded with the sound of his voice in my head. He has already found the witch, and when I asked what happened, he didn't answer. He told me to meet him in his office when they got back with her, and now, I am pacing inside his office. I feel him before I see him, a feeling I am not yet used to after being accepted into the pack during the ceremony. I might not have been made Luna or been able to complete the mating ceremony, but I am a part of the pack now. That means I know when my Alpha is coming, and for some reason, that thought sends warmth to more places than my stomach. The handle to the door turns, and I hold my breath in anticipation of what I might find. The first thing I see is Ben's head, peeking through the door to find me first, before pushing it open all the way. The sight of him calms my nerves slightly, but when I see the witch, they return. "My God, what happened to her?" I ask quickly as Kyle stumbles through the do

Daliah I woke up with the worst twist to my stomach that made it impossible to eat, or even keep the contents of much down. My vision blurred, my chest ached, and I could feel the sweat on my skin. It took all of my effort to stumble my way from the bedroom to Mrs. Lanzetta's front door, and when I got there, I couldn't knock. Instead, I fell forward into the wooden door, and she rushed out to help me inside. Several hours have passed of the same thing. Hovering over her toilet, she was holding my hair while I heaved over and over again. On my way into the bathroom, I caught the awful sight of myself in the mirror. My usual tan skin is pale and yellow, and I groaned dramatically when I saw my reflection. With a heavy breath, I lean backwards until I'm leaning against the wall behind me. The sound of Ben clearing his throat in the doorway drew my glance slowly towards him, praying his presence was all a figment of my imagination. The hope is futile, and he stares back at me while I

DaliahI hurt her. I hurt her just like my father hurt my mother, like how he hurt me. I left those marks on her neck, and I have the privilege of being alive, when I killed my father for the same treatment?"How could you?" I ask, looking at my white eyes in the mirror. My wolf, an inseparable being connected to me. I'm not like Ben and his pack. We don't have separate feelings; we are one. Which means, my wolf's mistakes are my own. "You're worthless." My voice breaks while I try to hold in the cry that threatens to escape. I am like him, like my father. I close my eyes tightly, willing the feeling to go away. When I open them, I watch the white fade in my eyes with nearly every feeling in my body. My limbs numb, my face pales further into a yellow, and my stomach aches painfully with the change. It takes all of my strength to make it out of the door, catching the sound of his muffled voice. I can't feel his mate bond anymore, and tears prick my eyes at the loss of it, but I remin

Ben Feeling her felt as though it were the first time all over again. Her body's response to me, her wolf's compliance to surface once more. Her color returns quickly, and by the time we are finished, she looks like the Daliah I have come to fall in love with. Lowering her to her feet, I bring my hand to the side of her cheek, lowering my lips to the top of her head. "I'm marking you tonight." There is no room for argument in my tone, but she doesn't seem to mind. She only nods her head while clearing her throat. Collecting her clothes, she pulls them back on before combing her hands through her hair to flatten what I had messed up. The moment that she leaves my office, I mindlink Kyle to call a pack meeting for tonight. Telling Kyle that I will mark Daliah is the best plan, but I told him to keep the information to himself. The Alphas of the other packs have already returned to their homes, displeased with the outcome of our ceremony. Besides, calling a pack meeting is less likel
