I averted my gaze from them. I could not describe what kind of feeling that was. It was like someone was pressing a gun against my head."Here," My mother said, placing a plate of food in front of me.I looked at my plate. The food, which seemed delicious to me a while ago, now looked unappealing. I lost my appetite."I told you. I know how to handle my sons."I heard Alpha Gray utter it to my mother. She chuckled and nodded her head in response.I bit my tongue. 'Have they lost their mind? Can't they see the two hungry wolves scowling at me? They can hear them! They are not deaf,' I thought, feeling scared.Kevin grabbed a fork and slammed it on a steak, making a loud noise. I gulped, lowering my head.My hair was down. So I thought it did a good job hiding my face.Everyone started eating while I was nervous."Elara, why are you not eating? This dinner is for you," Alpha Gray said, chewing his food.I lifted my hand and grabbed a spoon. I brought a spoonful of food close to my mouth

My eyes widened in shock. My face turned red and hot from embarrassment. Then it transformed into a chilling fear.I could see Trevor was furious. It was clear at the table that he did not like me staying here. His face was fierce. His brows pulled low, forming a deep crease between them. His jaw was clenched, making his cheeks look sharp. His eyes looked cold and serious, narrowing at me.He looked truly displeased, almost warning me without saying a word.I cleared my throat and mumbled, “Actually—”He did not give me any room to speak as he spoke in a chilly voice.“What the fuck are you doing?”I flinched and immediately got down. My eyes were still wide and scared, but they were also filled with shock over what I had done.On the other hand, Kevin was laughing really hard. I turned my head at him.He bent over, holding his stomach and laughing at how scared I had been and how I had jumped on Trevor.I was stunned to see him laugh. He always looked so angry. I did not know he coul

Elara's POVI shook my head before Trevor could react angrily. I got up from my chair and bowed my head to Alpha Gray."It's okay, Alpha. I can go alone."Trevor chewed his food while looking at me. His eyes thinned as if scrutinizing my expression. I avoided looking at him."No, dear. You will go with Trevor. That's final."That was Alpha Gray's decision. I bit my bottom lip, not knowing how to refuse him again.Trevor pushed his plate and stood up."Okay," he replied to his father. My mother's eyes brightened up. She smiled at him and said, "I knew you would–"Trevor glared at her, which stopped her speaking. He turned his head toward his father and said,"I won't come back tonight."Alpha Gray asked, "Are you planning to hang out with Zayra?"Trevor responded, "Hmm."I felt a pang in my heart. I lowered my head."That's great!" Alpha Gray said with a delighted tone as if he was pleased to hear that.My mother, Mery, got up and said, "Say hello to her, Trevor.""She doesn't need you

It's been three days since I had a fever. It was so serious that I had to go to the infirmary on our campus and rest there for two days. The doctors told me that I was an irresponsible kid. I did not take care of myself. My life is totally messed up. But in the last three days, I realized I had no one in the world. My father betrayed me. My mother abandoned me, although now she wanted me to stay with her. I had no one to call my man; I did not have any job since I stopped going in the direction of my house in fear of those loansharks."Did you take your medicines?"I heard my best friend, Julia's voice. I smiled at her. "You are the only person in the world who cared for me. Do you know that?"She nodded her head and hugged me. "I know."She never judged me. She knew my mother was married to Gray Kingston. She told me to forget every pain and move on.I guessed I would have to do it.We were walking around the campus, heading to our faculty.Suddenly someone brushed their shoulder aga

"You are a narcissist! I am telling you these are not mine," I said as I felt he was taking it too far. But he did not stop getting closer. I recalled what he did three days ago. I was startled that he would pull out that lizard from his pocket and frighten me again. I glanced at his pants in fear. I knew it was not possible to carry that lizard everywhere in the pocket. But I was afraid of it. So many illogical thoughts started roaming in my head. He followed my gaze and looked down at his pants. "Shirtless is not enough? You want me to take off my pants too?" he asked with a sarcastic tone. My eyes got larger. I shook my head. However, he had already come close to me. I pressed my hands against his chest over his sleeveless shirt. "I-I..." His smirk faded as he grabbed both of my wrists and pushed me against a wall, pinning my hands over my head. It happened so fast that I couldn't understand it. When I realized it, his face was close to mine. His sharp eyes were di
