Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Mate's Father Claimed Me: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

LYRA’S POV “What are you doing daydreaming? There are customers that need to be served!” Madam Beatrice roared at me as I spaced out for the 10th time on my shift in less than half an hour. I reached into the pocket of my dress touching the medallion, it had been a couple of days since I met Miranda, my mother. I haven't gone to see her since then. Don't even know what I'm supposed to say to her if we come face to face. Though it's crazy that I have something in my pocket that could obliterate the world as I knew it and yet I still had to clean counters and mop vomit from hung over customers. Alpha Kael had been here earlier. Whenever he's around, Madame Beatrice is always on her best behavior. I think she stores all the anger of not being able to rate me in his presence and takes it out the second his feet is out

LYRA'S POVBy the time I opened my eyes they were flooded with the fluorescent lights coming from the roof of the hospital. I looked around, assessing my surroundings and the first thing I noticed apart from the machines in between was Alpha Kael sitting close to me with a face masked with concern.“Lyra,” he called out to me as if I was on my death bed. “You're finally awake! You've been unconscious for a day and a half.”I was about to ask him why I was even here in the hospital, but then my memories came flooding back. How I have been working another extra shift in clawfire bar when Aiden came with his ridiculous offer for me to become his mistress. And when I refused, how he had flung me across the room like a discarded doll.It was then I noticed the pain in my legs and my hand. I was bandaged in both places. The dread of what had happened to me struck deep and my heart began to beat faster.I repeated the question that I had asked earlier.“What about Aiden?”Alpha Kael was quie

KAEL'S POVI told the doctor who was in charge of taking care of Lyra that I would be out for a couple of hours and if she wakes up by then, he should tell her not to worry that I would be coming back soon. Before leaving I had already planted some of my people there. They came to Lunaris with me but were hidden.Corvin was not aware of them, neither did I want him to be.Sometimes you could be quite distrustful and paranoid too.If I traveled alone, the chances of me being outnumbered where high. I would have even brought more guards with me if it's wasn't for his sake and him mistaken it as an invasion on his territory.Nevertheless, I planted half of my guards at the hospital dressed up like normal civilians so that nobody would know.I went over to Lunaris packhouse and the first person I wanted to see was Corvin. I told one of the maids to inform him of my presence before I even arrived at his office. When I came, he was tapping his feet impatiently while sitted. He saw me and th

LYRA'S POVIt was deep into the night, just like every other night in the hospital. I thought that it would pass peacefully but I had no idea what was coming for me. As I was dozing off, somebody smoothly crept into my room.By the time I had woken up and sensed the presence of someone hovering over me, knowing that it was not Alpha Kael. I knew I was in a position that could have not allowed me to escape. But just as the person was about to grab me, they were yanked backwards. I sat up instantly to see Alpha Kael fighting with the strange intruder who was wearing a mask.Just from the figure of the person alone, I knew that it was a man, and a strong one at that because he was fighting toe to toe with Alpha Kael at first. After a while, it was obvious that he was having the tables turned against him and losing stamina. When it was clear that the intruder was about to lose and his mask was falling off gradually with each entanglement with Alpha Kael, he got desperate and then looked t

SELENE’S POVMaybe coming to Lunaris was a bad idea. Ever since we arrived here, Aiden has been different. His temper has gotten worse. He snaps at the slightest provocation. Sometimes I don't even need to provoke him at all; all I just need to do is breath within his vicinity and instantly he is upset again and it becomes my problem.I have been bending over backwards, trying to handle his temper tantrums but I don't know how much longer I will be able to tolerate it.Just a week ago, Alpha Corvin came to me and told me what had happened at his bar, Clawfire. He said that there had been an altercation between Aiden and that wench which ended up with him injuring her quite badly. Of course I had no concerns about what happened to Lyra. In fact it would be so much better for me right now if she just died and stopped interfering with my life. The issue with that was how concerned he was after she got injured. He kept saying that he wanted to go and see her in the hospital even while I w
