Shouldn’t we be attacking again? At least attack the palace and kill Jerry.” Judy asked Lupus Tenebris as she restlessly paced the cold stone floors of her throne room. Her red eyes burning with impatience. It was a week since their last attack and she was hold up in White Hollow, impatient to do more. “With this creature we are unstoppable, so what are we waiting for?” Lupus Tenebris held back a growl. She had asked this question more than once and he had told her why they had to wait. He hated repeating himself, and hated being questioned even more. “I have told you before. It will be reckless to attack. We need to know what we are up against. The Noxala will bring back news, then we can act.” “When? It has been days we sent it out and no news. I am tried of screaming souls! I want my earthly kingdom now!” The fires burning in the corners blazed, and the souls began to shriek, a clear sign that Lupus Tenebris was furious. He gave a bone chilling growl that frightened Judy.

It was a red noxala. Seeing a one wasn’t unusual . The winged creatures were messenger birds created by the Moon Goddess to carry messages between the kingdoms. But what shocked them was seeing one killed violently. Killing a noxala was forbidden, the violators were punished by the Moon Goddess herself. Also, the color was wrong. Noxala eggs were red. Hatchlings green. Young adults deep blue, elders grey. But an adult noxala had never been red. For a long heartbeat, no one moved. Then chaos erupted. “This is a trap!” Lord Dusk hissed. “Whose trap?” Marge asked fearfully. “His maybe.” Frank spat. Dusk’s fangs glinted as he hissed, “How dare you? I would never defile a noxala!” Frank pointed a shaking finger at the vampire lord. “Your people thrive on blood. Look at this!
