Semua Bab Ex and Son Beg, But I Never Turn Back: Bab 331 - Bab 340

Third Person POVBeatrice’s eyes scanned the half-empty bar and saw a man in a suit sitting at the bar alone. He wasn’t much of a looker, with graying hair and a knock-off designer suit. He had his eyes fixed on the soccer game blaring from the flat screen TV.He wasn’t normally the type of man Beatrice would choose to consort with. She despised knock off designer clothes and he was too old for her. But he would have to do.Beggars can’t be choosers, and as much as Beatrice hated to admit it, that was the position she was in.Sliding up next to him, the bartender flashed her a smile.“What will you have?” he asked. He was good-looking, with muscular tattooed arms and stunning green eyes. Beatrice knew better than to flirt with the bartender though; they weren’t legally allowed to hand out free drinks.“Oh, I don’t know,” she said, tucking her hair behind her ear. “What are you drinking?” she asked the man beside her.Peeling his eyes away from the game, she could see that he was pleasa

Willow’s POVWe set up my father in a sprawling guest room on the main floor so he wouldn’t have to use the stairs. The children were beyond excited to have him live with us, although I had to remind them that he needed lots of rest.My father was in good spirits though, and he was determined to follow the doctor’s orders to a tee. We hired a plethora of nurses and care aids, as well as a nutritionist, and a personal chef dedicated to my father’s meals only.I was so touched by Luigi’s insistence that my father come and stay with us. He hadn’t even hesitated. I’d honestly just assumed that my father would return back to his own home when he was released from the hospital. But Luigi was firm in his decision, embracing my father and welcoming him into the home as family.Luigi had hand rails installed in the bathroom so my father could get in and out of the bathtub. He had my father’s bed brought over from his house, replacing all the furniture in the spare room with my father’s, to make

Willow’s POV“Oh my gosh!” Adonis exclaimed, covering his mouth with his hand and gasping. “Will, this is…this is too much.”I felt the same way. It was the first time we were seeing our new studio and office space, and the moment felt so surreal, it brought tears of pride to my eyes.It was more than I ever could have hoped for. The entire space was done up in beautiful pastels, with the smell of paint still fresh in the air. It had been a hot mess when we’d first bought it, an old storage space that had gone to the wayside from years of neglect. But I’d seen the potential, and I’d purchased it that very day, with the help of my father’s loan. From there, Adonis and I had hired an interior designer, who had taken my ideas and brought them to life. The front of the space was lined with shelves that would hold my perfumes, as well as a small cash register area. There were floor to ceiling windows, and since the studio was on a busy street, we hoped that it would attract some foot traffi

Luigi’s POVHanging up the phone with Willow, I leaned back in my chair and looked out my massive window to the skyline.I wanted to be there with her to celebrate, but this mysterious buyer had appeared out of nowhere, insisting that I meet with him.Honestly, I didn’t have high hopes. Most of the meetings I’d been having weren’t going very well. Buyers were looking for lower cost wines, with these stupid trendy names like ‘Mamma’s Secret Super Power’, and ‘Wine O’Clock.”In fact, the more I met with buyers, the more I thought about pivoting. If this was really what buyers wanted, then didn’t it make sense for me to give them what they wanted? It was something I was really struggling with though.I’d spent my entire life learning about grapes. I’d devoted countless hours to exploring the complexity of grapes, the subtle notes, the smooth finishes. Low cost wines lacked these things, but these were the things that drew me to wine in the first place. In my mind, wine was an experience,

Luigi’s POVA partnership?I cocked his head to the side. I had no partners. That wasn’t my sort of thing. I’d built the business on my own, ran it on my own, and owned everything solely. But Logan had skills that I didn’t have. And I’d been leaning towards a pivot. “So,” I said, “if we were to enter a partnership, what would that look like?”Logan’s face broke out into a wide grin. He slid over another folder. “Here are the terms I’m proposing, open to negotiation, of course,” Logan said. I looked over the document. It was actually a very fair proposal. Logan was suggesting we start a subsidiary company, under the umbrella of my current company, but with its own separate licensing and financials. Logan was willing to invest a fair amount of money to launch the new company, which I would match. We would be co-CEOs, with a fair 50/50 split right down the center. “The way I see it,” Logan continued, “is that you have the expertise to make the wine. I have the expertise to market an
