I sit down at the dinner table and smile shyly at Dante. I’m too embarrassed to make eye contact with Rosa, as if I’m afraid that if she looks at me, she’ll instantly know what Dante and I did. Rosa serves the meal and it’s delicious. We eat homemade spaghetti and salad, followed by tiramisu for dessert.
