Grace’s eyes opened slowly, she turned her head and could hear Aunty Margaret whisper, “Thank God, you're finally awake.” With her eyes half-opened, she tried seating up. The memories of what happened before she blacked out came rushing back and her eyes snapped open wide. “Where are my children?” She asked with urgency, gazing around, her heart beat starting to race. “It's already late. I forced them to go to bed while I watched over you,” Aunty Margaret replied, pulling Grace's head to her chest. “Victor didn't take them,” she asked, her lips trembling. “Yes, I didn't allow him to,” Aunty Margaret said.
