(Regina's POV)With my eyes still staring at her widely like I had just seen a ghost while her big brown eyes stared back at me pleadingly, but soon her lashes began to tremble upon seeing the pale look on my face. I could feel the blood in my veins turn cold. What she was asking for was beyond impossible. She seemed to panic as well but for different reasons.“Is… something wrong?” She asked fearfully. I struggled to keep my face straight and once I succeeded, I passed her a stiff smile. “Nothing. But what you're asking for…" I started, but my throat felt dry, so I swallowed deeply. She stared back at me in anticipation, I could see the curiosity imprinted on her face. If only she knew I was about to turn down her request. “I'm afraid I have to disappoint you and the rest. I can't help you do that, I'm in no position to make your boss fall for me.” Heck! That would be close to impossible. I had seen that look in his eyes several times that made me realize how worthless he saw me.

His lips pressed to my neck and his manly scent filled my sense that I could barely comprehend anything he was saying as I focused more on what his closeness was doing to my body.
