Chapter Ninety Nine: The Trap The front door opened and closed with a heavy, final thud that echoed through the quiet glass house. Ian found Zhedya in the foyer, not standing tall like he usually did, but leaning heavily against the wall like it was the only thing holding him up. His tie was undone, hanging loose, and his usually perfect blonde hair was a messy, disheveled halo around his head. He smelled like expensive whiskey and cold night air.
