LYSSANDRAMy uncle backed away from me, stumbling in his haste to put some distance between us.I stalked up to him, leaving only a step between us. “Cade cheated on me with Arch and you were fine with that, but I'm a whore? ERDENThe party ended sometime after twelve. Trent herded everyone to the door and closed it behind him.“Your father would have hated that crowd.” Trent muttered.I gave him a sideward glance, but my jaw locked tight. “You didn't even know the man.”Trent hadn't met my father, because by then, Aksel and Kavev had helped me kill him.“Yeah, but I've certainly heard enough about him from you.”“Come on, let's go.” I muttered, walking over to my car. LYSSANDRAI was working out the next morning when the idea came to me.I punched the bag, jogging in place. I needed a new replacement in order to throw Cade out of the company.If that was all I needed to do, then why not use Erden?It was such a wild idea that for a moment, I stopped punching, pulled a towel from the towel stand and mopped my face with it while I thought.No one would mess around with Erden, everyone knew better than to get on his wrong side.I could name him CEO, and somehow force him? What were you doing?”She smiled up at me, then turned that smile on everyone else who was standing around, pretending not to watch the drama unfolding.“Please everyone, welcome Mr. Erden Kryne.” She started clapping, her eyes cold despite the smile on her face, and soon, everyone else joined the clap.Everyone except Cade who looked like he'd swallowed a toad. “Lys…please.”She completely ignored him, grabbed my arm, and pulled me down the lobby to her office.Immediately we were in her office, she let me go, walked to her desk, and slumped into it.Her eyes closed, and I noted that sweat dotted her forehead.
