Outside the ward, Peter dragged Naomi along the corridor. She had changed her mind almost immediately after leaving the ward and wanted to return, but Peter had seen right through her. Before she could turn around, he interwined their fingers. “Let go.” Naomi tried to pull her hand free, but his grip was too strong. “I said let go.” This time, Naomi was genuinely angry.
